Based on a lot of the comments I’m reading it doesn’t seem that people understand that RDJ is likely going to be playing Tony Stark, but it will be Tony Stark from another universe. With the multiverse you can do that, and I would almost guarantee that’s the direction this will go.

Dr. Doom again, this time with the Avengers, and with Robert Downey Jr, the one they killed off as Iron Man, one of the best characters in the MCU, oh, and they emasculated Hulk and Zeus, killed Black Widow, retired Steve Rogers, and killed Thanos, one of the best Marvel villians, and best CGI creations of all time. Now Marvel brings us Tony Stark, Robert Downey as Dr. Doom? A retread villian that we keep seeing over and over and over. So, maybe at the end of Avengers Doom can escape through a time portal just in time to appear in the next MCU Fantastic Four? As far as this fan is concerned, the age of Marvel's greatness is in the past. Deadpool and Wolverine was watchable, but only because of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in my opinion. I guess Marvel is now for a new generation, the glory days of what made Marvel unique has flown away, now, it's just cookie cutter insanity.

Well, Dr. Doom twice, or was it three times in Fantastic Four? Yeah, now Avengers, in my book that's over and over. Marvel has tons of villians, it's a constant retread. I think by reading my previous post, you should be able to tell I'm not a fan of what Disney, and the people in charge, have done to Marvel characters. As a Hulk fan, I would say they have obliterated him. So yeah, we do agree Disney will probably lend it's usual negative influence, along with the current Marvel leaders and popular directors.

After watching "Loki" Season 1 & 2, I finally understand how the same character can appear in a different universe as another hero/villain. In one universe, Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man, but in another universe He is Doctor Doom. "Variants" are the term they call these characters in the "Loki" TV series.
"Variants" are Disney's way of not having any talent to come up with something new or original. Let's just keep graping Marvel's corpse because we are so feking useless and terded to not produce anything but key jangling for tardo norms.

Strange made a decision where tony has to die with thanos's end because he created time machine and could have been evil but now he has still been a villain in another name and will still conquer multiverse using the technology and powers he have . It only means that dr. Strange can't change the future of rdj instead now he just don't remember any of them , in previous case atleast he would have remembered them all and tony never died which ultimately led to spiderman losing his identity and aunt may in far from home and no way home . I know people upset, but Downey playing Iron Man and then Doom makes hella since because Doom and Stark have such a love/hate relationship.
Comic material is almost infinite. That said, screenwriters often have to make changes from the source, just to make it more interesting, balanced or “cinematic”. To adapt Doom’s origin story as an alternate version of Tony Stark is simply genius: both characters have many traits in common (such as being scientists and the armor they built) but while Tony progresses from being selfish to selfless, Victor is destined to the opposite path. We have the chance to see again a fan favourite actor in RDJ, and RDJ himself is up to a new fresh challenge with the new role. So is a W W W (fans, actor and especially producers who will get a ton of money 🤣🤣)
