My mom passed away recently and this is the song I played at her funeral. She was such a strong mom and my best friend. I miss her so much it hurts. I love you mom ❤
Dolly is a true living legend that amazingly still performs and writes at the very top of her game. She has a current cover of Stairway to Heaven that is simply astounding. ✌️
I tnink Dolly is one of those women that women can love and admire too. She's so down to earth and relatable...... very funny and self deprecating 😊 ....... I admire her so much for her charity work too. This is such a sweet song ❤x
Have you seen her duet with Carol Burnett? Both of them so giving of the spotlight to each other on an era that men insisted we can't do. Truly, women want to support each other and crave the nurturing of other women. We just have to trust ourselves that we can handle it if something doesn't live up to expectations. Life. We all fail and need the grace to falter as individuals, -not representing all of us as our weakest versions together in an unfair collective profile but- our human versions. ❤

You reacted to Jolene so watch Chapel hart's reply 'You came have him Jolene". They were finalist on AGT.
I *love* this song! Thank you so much for doing this one. Powerful and sweet. This is truly the anthem of *every* woman, from every time and from every place.
Amber your speech in this reaction was absolutely beautiful. Thanks for picking this song. These days with womanhood under siege and question, this song is a welcome release.
I totally thought of the same thing. This song means something so different to me today, as opposed to when it was first released. A man can never, ever actually know what it's like to be a woman. I know I will get clapping back for that, but it's true.
Cool. Except women are the ones under attack. As a man, I would hope that you would stand up for women. But it seems like you are one of those men who like to mansplain womanhood to women.
@@ShannonR1969 Absolutely agree with you, and the opposite is also true. Men and Women were created by God with different giftings that are meant to compliment each other when joined together in marriage
Some of your favourite balladeers including Dolly Parton and Bette Midler in the late 70s did disco songs . If you want hear Dolly get her growl on and Bette Midler roar the house down check out their songs Baby I’m Burning and My Knight In Black Leather .
Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man - Candy Man (Both Great Horns !!) Dolly is one of a kind. Humble, generous beyond belief with her time and her money. A beautiful song you should check out is "when I get where I'm going" by Brad Paisley featuring Dolly Parton. The video is very well done and their voices mesh so nicely. I love that you keep the classic music going for a new generation. Thank you and look forward to more reactions!
My Mom passed away a couple of months ago, and this song is hitting me hard! Dolly Parton is such a wonderful, beautiful person and I can't think of anyone better to sing this song, which will always remind me of my Mom. Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles..."
Dolly Can't be replaced. I'm happy we will always have her music. I had never heard this song & am crying my eyes out. She brings the emotion to another level .Music is for that reason. Let it go Amber & cry. Crying can be a welcome release. LY 2 God Bless
Everyone should strive to be like Dolly. She does not judge people, is accepting of everyone and their differences and helps so many. What a dynamic woman. And what a performer/writer.
Omg that was absolutely beautiful. It made me think of my mom. She just passed on June 26th, two days after she turned 96! She was all these things. She stayed home and raised 6 kids. My Dad was a mailman during the day and a bartender at night. Never had a day off because if he had a day off, he still worked the night job. Big meal every night and everything was home made. Anyway, I could go on. Thanks for this. I'm going to send it to my sister's. ✌️❤️😭
Dolly Parton has a beautiful voice I remember watching her on TV in the 70s another one of her songs I recommend reacting to is hard candy Christmas and he's alive a very inspiring Easter song.
Love dolly. She's an absolute treasure. You should watch her first movie nine to five with Jane Fonda and lilly Tomlin and dolly. Sooo funny. Please MORE ABBA!
You also need to hear Dolly's "Silver And Gold." For another beautiful song like this. For a saucy song of hers, is "Romeo". Billy Ray Cyrus appeared in that video. Have you ever seen Billy's 90's most popular song, "Achy Breaky Heart." Travis Tritt's 90's songs are really good, too. "Here's A Quarter," "I Don't Love You Anymore" & his duets with Marty Stuart "The Whiskey Ain't Working."
Always a favorite. Another one I love from Dolly is 'Backwoods Barbie' talking about how people judge her based on how she dresses. Some more country songs for Female Friday: Pam Tillis - 'Shake the Sugar Tree', 'Cleopatra _ Queen of Denial' Reba McIntyre - 'Why Haven't I Heard From You', 'Is There Life Out There', 'Take It Back' Pistol Annies - 'Got My Name Changed Back', 'Hush Hush' Taylor Swift - 'Our Song' Maddie & Tae - 'Girl in a Country Song' Kacey Musgraves - 'Biscuits' And some non-country songs: Taylor Swift - 'Delicate', 'Anti-Hero' Devon Cole - W.I.T.C.H. Lotte Lenya - 'Alabama Song' Lucille Bogan (some NSFW) - 'Shave 'Em Dry', 'Til the Cows Come Home', 'B.D. Woman's Blues' Ma Rainey - 'Prove It on Me Blues' 'Double Dutch Bus' by Frankie Smith (which is fun), covered by Raven-Symone Olivia Rodrigo - 'drivers license', 'good 4 u' Mary Lambert - 'Secrets' Lily Allen - 'Not Fair' Pink - 'Trouble'
The whole Eagle When She Flies album is fantastic. There is a great duet with Lorrie Morgan called Best Woman Wins. I love your reactions and have worked my way through quite a few. Thank you for the time you take to post these for us all to enjoy.
Dolly did a song (on an album called "Honky Tonk Angels") that is very personal to my wife. The song is called "Sitting On The Front Porch Swing". If you ever need to cry, that song will do the trick. 😭 Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette sing the background.
OMG I am tearing up - its so beautiful. I love Dolly but hadn't this song before so a new one for me too. My family and I have been going through a tough time over the past year or so and this really resonated with me. Whilst very emotional, I feel so proud to be a woman and grateful for all the amazing women I have known and know in my life. This song has really made me feel empowered. Thank you so much. x
Such a lovely song from such a lovely person. Dolly Parton does tug on the heart strings. Two other singers that do that for me is Judy Garland and Bette Midler. It would be great for you guys to react to another Bette Midler song. There is a performance she did for Johnny Carson when he retired from the Tonight Show. The song is called "One More For My Baby". She credits Johnny Carson for helping her establish her career. Also, you guys reacted to "Wind Beneath My Wings", maybe you can do a movie reaction to the movie that the song is the theme to, "Beaches". 😎👍
Dolly has this song called “little sparrow’. It’s a very unique song that really speaks to her roots. Very authentic. I’d love to see Rob Squad review it 👍
This is a song I chose for my Granny’s funeral. She absolutely loved birds and this was so her. This song came out in 1991 and my Fran passed away in 1992

In 2014, Dolly waved at me in a parking lot on the Warner Brothers Studio lot. Yes, I did look and there was no one behind me. LOL
I've always said that Dolly has the most pure, natural singing voice I've ever heard. She's also one of the most prolific songwriters alive today. But in addition to all of that, she has a wisdom and a wit that's simply iconic.
