Padma shri recipient poet and writer Surjit Singh Patter passed away today (11 May 2024). His poems enjoy immense popularity with the general public and have won high acclaim from critics. (14th Jan ---11 th May 2024. He will be missed by family, friends, and by his readers. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. He will stay alive in our hearts and minds through his writing.
