Meditation has gifted me this precious ability to recognize when I’m in my head instead of being in the present moment,
What may have started as technique for concentration, has become a way of living,
Through being present with my thoughts and internal processes, I have become aware of how my mind clings to certain situations, It keeps bringing them out, focusing on some parts, denying some and distorting other parts…
And although it is happening in me, I become kind of hypnotized by the emotions that come with these memories, and so I don’t recognize the distortion that is going on when living in memory and afterwards, it becomes reality and I rarely go back and question what has been recorded by my mind.
But , Being present/meditative through out the day has allowed me to recognize the absurdity of my memories and that is slowly leading me to naturally let go of thoughts and to go back to the present moment,
This doesn’t require much effort, because it is a recognition and not a technique, although meditation has started as a technique but It’s the recognitions that became available to me through this technique that help me maintain awareness effortlessly,

What is the shift of perception you have experienced?
Previously, I viewed life solely from my own perspective, but now I perceive it as it truly is. Adjusting to this new perspective has been a difficult process for me. However, currently I’m finding great joy in the experience.

going back to the silence that is always there helps us see things as they are.
