This apartment is so you and I'm glad you found it. Nothing beats living in a space you love to come back to every evening.
The view, location, minimalist decor and almost free utilies makes it worth the price. And you're right, it would've been perfect if it was a little bigger.

It's true. His vibe is more SA than Kenya. You can tell he's happier there, and that's not a knock on Nairobi. There are people will like Kenya better and vice versa. Julian's found his home and it's Johannesburg.
The location, the views, the appliances, the amenities, the helper, up to R2k free electricity, the natural light...I think it's worth it.
Haha! Julian! This place is well worth it! Studio apartment in the states with no utilities included and no view with no floor to ceiling windows are averaging this much right now. So after all fees and bills about $2,000 a month at home in the states!

The architecture and interior design in SA is on another level , SA has the best interior designers and architectures, you have to be a well traveled person to understand this,
....or watch a few videos 😊 Watched a documentary on "60 Minutes Australia" last night about houses now being built 3x bigger than the average house size and I was appalled by the architecture. Houses all look the same and old fashioned.

The apartment is amazing!! The floor to ceiling windows make it look so chic and metropolitan. I am sure you no longer struggle with lighting for your vlogs and selfies, which is important. The rent is obviously not the standard nor the average rental amount in Joburg, its a lot more expensive. However, for the location, the fact that it is fully furnished, the added extras like the gym and pool area as well as the housekeeper and the utilities included its reasonable. Hope you get enjoy your stay in South Ahhh...

This is a beautiful apartment, I think it's worth it considering that it's furnished and it includes your electricity and water.

The place is a bit small, but the amenities and the fact that it’s furnished makes the price worth it. Maybe renegotiate once you’re more comfortable ✨

I think it is worth it! I've stayed in Rosebank before, and I love that area. It's a great community to live in and I will be back for sure. Enjoy!

Do it bro. South Africa is easily one of those countries where you can come traveling alone and leave having an entire network of people you call family. Big plus is that the Dollar is stronger meaning your money here goes a lonnng way. Do yourself a favour and check out the CZcams channel called 'The Real South Africa' - they organise tours to South Africa. Come out here for 2 weeks & see if you'll like it or not. A 1000 USD excluding the cost of travel & visa etc will do you good. Wishing you all of the best!
@@asemahlemakwedini2462 There is no cost for any visa to visit SA. With an American passport you come in just like if you are flying from Jersey to Atlanta. No need to contact the Real South Africa people, they charge a lot of money for hotel, food, and a few tours. You can do that on your own for far less. You can get a good deal in plane ticket in you buy at least 3 months in advance. You can get a nice hotel or AirBNB in a good area of the city for $60 or less. Food is inexpensive, uber prices are ridiculously low. If you go, spend some time in all 3 major cities. SA is not expensive to visit, it is only 15 hours on a direct flight from Atlanta. Go visit and enjoy and do not pay those people any mind that never been out of their state.

Your kind is so quick to condemn the poor Africans from other Africans countries that are trying to make a living in SA. but you will give a pass to other illegal workers like the Blantons. Those two Americans were admitted to SA on a retiree visa, that means that they should get their income from their pension or retirement savings. People and that type of visa are not allowed to work or set up business. If they wanted to set up a business in SA they should have applied for an Investment visa. They should follow the laws of the country instead of making a mockery of it.
For the sunrises and sunsets views❣️ With everything that is included, it is reasonably priced.
This place is AWESOME. $1500 USD converted to Canadian where I'm from is $1900... That place is a steal... in Toronto that place would be $2800-3000 a month

In SA for that much you would be in a mansion 🙉
Actually this price is because the place is furnished otherwise $1500 in SA you rent a 3 or 4 bedroom house or apartment in same top areas or a 2 bedroom in a golf estate

Beautiful apartment indeed... Here in Cape Town, next to the ocean, you can add another 6K on that R25 500; I feel it's a reasonable price for all the amenities in Joburg Juls.

why not buy an apartment or house seeing that you're always in SA ? It will be much cheaper and a good investment , when you're in Sa you'll have a place of our own and when you're out of the country you could always rent it out and make your money back
