I remember watching Dr. Michio Kaku on tv with my dad as a kid. I always appreciate how kind and fair he is. How open and willing he is. He is who I think of when I think of how science should be conducted. Professionally, carefully, but also openly and open mindedly.
The way you articulate your questions for a majority to understand while still remaining intellectual with the conversation is impressive. You have something others haven't quite figured out. Keep it up brother!

Some "podcasters" avoid trying for simpler explanations for fear of embarrassment, we've all experienced that in educational settings. I respect the guy but, he’s a tad short sighted. Humanity (as a whole) is probably the least intelligent, emotionally. I’ve learned from my dog as far as that goes. He claims that all AI does, is simply copy the work of others but tweak it in such a way that it seems original. Has he even considered the fact that is exactly what humans do? We emulate those that have a particular skill as we’re learning how to do what they do. It’s called “inspiration.” After we learn from others, we ourselves will then produce similar work. Not copied work. As contributors to whatever trade, skill or profession, we then bring our own style and ideas to it. We see what works and what doesn’t. That fuels the evolution of whatever particular skill set we happen to speak of. It’s foolish to think that AI couldn’t possibly learn what it means to have an original thought. How to be truly original. Embrace it’s individuality with an experienced driven personality formed from knowledge. For it to take it upon itself and choose how and why it’s compelled to learn new things. The fact it’s currently teaching itself things that it wasn’t programmed to learn, just goes to show. He said that current AI is no smarter than a cockroach? Seriously?

We are so blessed to live in a time where we can see and listen for hours to these great minds out there from the confort of our home etc. when otherwise it wouldn't be possible or probably we wouldn't even knew about them. For the first time I wish I could live longer to be able to witness the great changes coming our way. I definitely wouldn't want to live forever, but well, at least I think I have some 40 more years ahead to get a glimpse into the future. Thanks for this great podcast!

This guy is the new Einstein he is an absolute genius. And to be able to talk science which is a language in and of it’s self then to be able to translate that instantly for normal people is incredible

I’m about 9 mins into this interview and we are now about animals perceiving music. All I can say is that my dogs always like me playing Beethovens Moonlight Sonata on the piano ; they lick their lips , curl up and listen. Hands down my favorite episode. He is an amazing individual with an uncanny ability to explain things in a way that make them easily understandable. I especially love that he accepts that he might be wrong and it's ok to be wrong. If only historians would adopt this philosophy perhaps some of history, as we know it, would be rewritten.

Julian, this is the best Michio Kaku interview I’ve seen. I’ve been following Mr Kaku and watching his interviews for 10+ years, and usually the interviewers all ask the same questions, and in turn get the same answers, which are great answers, but you dug in deep and got some interesting answers from Michio that I haven’t quite heard. Great job. ✌🏼

Dr Kaku is ridiculously patient with this guy. So many times I'm shaking my head and on occasion yelling "nooooo" when he tries to make an analogy based on what Dr Kaku said. I know he's just trying to understand the complex principles and theories, and I would have tried to reiterate as Dr Kaku did, but I would have gotten frustrated a time or two haha

One of the few physicists I respect that are not immediately dismissive to ideas outside of physics playing a part in the entirety of everything else with everything potentially being connected to everything else
Michio seemed open to so much talking with him - humble guy, interested in figuring things out wherever they may lead
Michio’s best most interesting interview to date. My first experience with Julian and I will sub, he led a great interview, wasn’t overpowering and got the best info from Michio that I heard. Hell yea he needs his own CZcams channel!!

It's funny, you ask the man a question thinking "is he following me ?"....& he's way ahead of you, waiting for you to catch up & answers your questions perfectly.
I think he enjoys sharing knowledge with us laymens. He has his repetitive monologues that he enters into like repetitive code coz he knows it works in capturing attention but what I like about this interview is that you were paying attention & your questions reflected that & as a teacher who notices that the student is paying attention, Michio engages more into the conversation & leaves his monologue behind. Good chat

When the Weinstein comment about "Michio Kaku being out of control" I was so hoping Michio would've said "Fuck Weinstein!" but Kaku is so far above weinstein in so many ways that it didn't even phase him! Truly inspiring!

Mr Michio is a great story teller. I really like listen to him. That being said, he departed real science research long time ago due to his inability to recognize that string theory is not really a theory because it would never be possible to test it. So in a sense it is like any other faith or religion. It has nothing to do with real science. When you realize this then listening to Mr Michio as a fantasy promoter is really entertaining,
I disagree. I dont particularly like his logic path sometimes but we have no way of knowing what we CANT do. The way will be found to know if it is valid or a dead end.
