- A full playthrough of an unfinished, but still overall enjoyable mod created by Kaeso and Duke Serkol from the Cave Story Tribute Site Forums (www.cavestory..... Seeing people's opinions of what could have happened before Quote woke up in the events of Cave Story is interesting so I definitely enjoy the mod from that perspective. If only it was finished and had some of those frustrating, trial-end-error sections changed, this could have been something really special.
It's a good thing I recorded this playthrough since some weird things happened during it.
Yes, I did forget about getting the Nemesis and Arms Barrier...but I didn't need them anyway!

@@Solibrae really she hid the underwear?? I never played this one but a little CAVE STORY. I didn't had time to that play in 2019 so I watched walkthrough videos of cave story. And now your video led me to the previous events. Gonna watch the complete game from Curly Brace's perspective. Finally the thirst and dreams of Cave story will come to an end.
@@lumiosepan Well, it's her underwear, so either she hid them, or perhaps one of Jenka's dogs did it. This is "just" a fan-made mod, not necessarily the absolute truth of what really happened to Curly in her past.

this looks like a good mix of cave story and fan creativity - it feels decently cave story-like while still being unique

I would love it too...if it weren't for all the artist who lewded Curly beyond the limits. I mean, I'm not mad, but when you search Curly Brace, most of fanarts are lewd, I can't believe there are few normal fan arts at that level of dedication and quality

This one is pretty good. It makes sense even. It basically explained as to why curly got the mimiga children and the minigun and as well as why she fought quote.
Yes! Even though it's not complete, I think it tells an interesting version of the story.

Yeah, it was a bit overly frustrating at times but I still enjoyed it. It's a shame the creators never finished it but what they did is good!

Most Robots like Curly had them while some like Quote did not.

It would make sense if both Quote and Curly had Air Tanks though, since they were created to work as a team.

It makes for a better feeling of progression, compared to if she got the Machine Gun straight away.
Of course, that could be easily changed with a Cave Story map editor or save editor, anyway... ; )

Looks cool but doubt that any of this happened in the real cave story timeline Arthur was already dead on this one I think he died when curly and quote fought the killer robots 10 years prior to this
Sure, it's just a nice bit of fan-fiction. I'm fairly confident that Arthur is stated to have been killed by the Doctor or one of his minions, so he probably was alive until not long before Quote wakes up in the original game.

No es mala idea como spin off e cave story, pero tendría que agregar mas historia, diferenciar más a curley en armas y modo de juego, así como lugares que no se exploraron e el anterior juego, junto empatar con la historia principal de otro modo, se ve entretenido este videojuego, mínimo una pasada vale la pena jugar, obvservaciones.

That might be possible, but it sounds like it would be more trouble than it's worth, compared to just using the original version of Cave Story.

This is an hour of some dude showing off and failing miserably at it. All of the spazzy "MLG" shots (of which becomes extremely obvious at 1:00 and beyond) clearly show it.

@@TheJude4all just in case you don't know, in case you do r/wooosh me, karma (as i know it) is basically a 'boomerang effect' what i mean is that anything you do will come back, so if you for example hit someone with a ball, the same can happen to you afterwards.

It's a bit too frustrating at times.
I don;t like it. It is so american. It does not depend on affecting feelings and thinking, but this game exposes those feelings like it tells you how you should feel. Game also tells us what to do and where to go. Original game was designed to show us or make us think about what might be a good choice or not. Also I don't understand why most of monsters at the Sand Zone are gone. No one unfamiliar with Cave Story wont play it, so we'd like a bit of a challange right from the beggining. Walking around with 5hp is kinda lame. He wanted to make first years for beginners yet none of them would survive long with 5HP! Pointlessly long Ancient Cave boring as hell.
Curly swore to protect babies with her own life, her 1 whole year was so boring, that it wasn't even discussed, but she is on her way to Mimiga Vollage just because Jenka didn't hear from them for a while?! Absurd!
We don't know where to find explosive, but some guy just handles those to us. Without anything! It's boring, cringy, without any exploration, informations, even "plot line" is a big word here. I hate it more and more with every minute. Then we have hard af Corridor! It's like from going back and forth on our backyard right into work, taxes and paying rent! WTF
