- Hey!! A new part to this series is here! While shorter than the previous episodes, this is still pretty dang important (and exciting) to the story!
Essentially, this AU has Mia Fey surviving her encounter with Redd White. The majority of Turnabout Sisters' plot is the same, but there's some familiar faces! One even replaces a certain character...

I'm liking this timeline so far. Gonna be interesting if Mia continues living and Diego rejoins the firm. A trio of the greatest defense attorneys? Even Von Karma would be terrified.

Godot would be a helpful co-counsel and might be a great father figure for trucy. And since godot might team up with Phoenix wright, would Phoenix help Edgeworth with his aai cases because he'd have free time?

@@dylanzlol7293 Should be possible. The defense and prosecution benches must have room for more than one co-counsel.
If there is one thing I feel is missing from this retelling, it's that Mia was allowed to leave free on the first day, when she should by all means be at the hospital.
On the same vein, have Phoenix ask about her injury. It's the head she was hit in, for heaven's sake 😂
All in all, I dig this story.

1. I confused this vid with the turnabout sisters but grossberg took the case vid so i got confused when mia spawned, lol.
2. Thats an awesome way to introduce gumshoe, i feel like itd be cool if that was the canon first gumshoe appearance.

The first time I saw the Ace Attorney franchise, I genuinely thought I would never see such professional or competent moments coming from Phoenix Wright or our beloved judge.

If I do not confuse anything, then before Lana Sky, the main prosecutor in the original was another person (it was he who called him in the original Redd White, and it was this prosecutor that turned a blind eye to how Manfred von Karma worked). I am also curious how could the officer Valerie Housetorn survive?
That'll all be explained in the next/last part. :D

Oooh, I just realized! If Mia faces off against Edgeworth with Phoenix here, it won't have the "tragic outcome" like in 3-4 (which is likely different in this rewrite).

@@dylanzlol7293 I can't find an exact quote, but the basis is that the JP judicial system is different from a NA judicial system, so there's additional positions that'll do things normally attributed to other positions.
Generally, it's believed that he's calling the District Attorney.

I wonder. What was White's plan by kidnapping Mia in the first place? He didn't kill her, while he easily could have. Also, why is Mia being so vague? And when did she even GET kidnapped in the first place?
Well... even after Phoenix did prove that he could stand on his own against April May, Redd White is a *whole* other story.
She doesn't want to share too much information with Phoenix because she fears he could possibly get hurt while trying to "bash" in on Redd White too early. She wanted to deal with Redd herself to "protect" Phoenix, thus.
As for the kidnapping stuff... well, the next part aims to solve that!

@@razorratproductions3499 At least she didn't die here. And with Phoenix winning, I can see them gaining a mutual sense of protection. Mia because Phoenix is still her student. And Phoenix because Mia is too sweet. And they will acknowledge and respect their roles. Wouldn't that be sweet?
@richietribe9487 It'd be beneficial for both! And Maya gets to have 2 protective people over her, so that's a win :D
At the same time though, Maya would probably not be joining Phoenix in his investigations for a while later.

the removal of the plotpoint of phoenix wright getting accused make sense to me since well the plotpoint in this case was most likley a holdover from the original games beta were phoenix wright was going to be a detective
though with all the plot changes so far im half expecting mia to be hiding somekind of injury

@@dylanzlol7293 What I mean is that arresting Phoenix Wright with absolutely zero evidence is probably one of the most unlawful arrests in the series. The legality of the matter is never questioned and no one is ever punished for it, even after White is arrested for the crime. Not to mention about Maya. Is she officially declared innocent because of this? That was never explained.
Edgeworth doesn't even try to explain why April May would lie about Maya killing Mia if Phoenix was the one who did it... probably to hide the level of bullshitting that would require. In the original it would have made more sense for Redd White to either just name Phoenix Wright as an accomplice to Maya, or to just have his guards take Pheonix and lock him up somewhere until the trial was over.
@@Zelink108 well, you could assume that edgeworth forged some evidence off-screen, as the original game kept edgeworth's evidence-forging thing vague before saying "he didnt forge shit lol" when they made 1-5 for the ds version
