how it actually go down?
Although the movie (The 9th Company) is not really historically true and there're lots of mistakes, f.e. only 6 Soviet soldiers were killed in that combat, and if the attack was so as it's shown in the movie, it would have ended in a minute because of great firepower of soviet troops (12.7 machine gun NSVT is a devastating weapon), the video is great. Actually, most of Russians hate Fedor Bondarchuk's (don't confuse him with his father, Sergei Bondarchuk, who was a great regisseur (he filmed War and Peace, 1968)) films because of the reason stated above. The same thing goes with his movie "Stalingrad"
True the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan is certainly an interesting piece of history

Probably Sabaton's most underrated sing: I don't know the story behind this, almost nobody talks about it, nothing. It's great to see this music video though!
As the song suggests, the 9th airborne company was sent to guard Hill 3234 from the mujahideen and protect their convoys. They fought for two days against 250 to 300 mujahideen fighters. 9th company was only 39 and fought like hell to hold their position

What a great loss of life that battle. Truly devastating blow was dealt. But make no mistake, all those brave warriors were welcomed by Allah as heroes. They may have lost the battle, but persevered and won the war.
