One of his highly technical performances. And he made it look so easy. The original song was a decent pop song but he always manage to bring any songs to extraordinary height. I call his style of singing a freestyle. Because of his wide vocal range, and also he has no restrictions to any particular genres or styles, he is free to express the song in any forms.
Exactly. I hate these classical-oriented people who love classifying singers as "this" and "that"! Dimash walks on everything! He needs no classification!
Dimash understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. Or a Popera if you like. His intense operatic, blues, jazz, folk, world, and pop music training are all elements within the story. Every performance is a work of art.
It sure is. This song and the way Dimash sings it is what I consider perfection and gorgeous!

Not really his warm up. This is the song that showcases the most of his voice. He does some incredibly difficult things here. It's not easy just because he makes it look so.

Dimash understands music. Dimash tells the stories of each songs he sing. He don't just sing.....he perform. He lives the story in songs. In other words, Dimash is a master storyteller through singing and a vocal painter.

Dimash has finished #1 in requests in 9 of the past 10 weeks on the MTV Friday Livestream which resumes on Friday, June 4.. In order to keep him on top (and to get two of his music videos played instead of just one) we need to show up en masse and type REQUEST DIMASH as many times as possible in the chat during the three hour program. The MTV Friday Livestream appears on youtube every Friday from 5-8 pm New York time (don't forget to calculate your time zone differences). Dimash has dreams of being as recognized in the western world as he is in the East. Let's help him achieve that goal by giving something back to him in return for all he has given to us.

Hey Guys Dimash has as many colors as a painter has in his Palette and can mix them all to form a emotional video in your mind not just a painting. Dimash becomes the character in all his songs and takes 5 seconds to come out of character.. Dimash=Vocal Genius :) All at the ripe old age of 27
The way an audience chooses to demonstrate its appreciation differs from country to country.
In Britain nothing would get the audience to its feet. Even if they clapped long and loud enough to get many encores, they remained firmly seated throughout.
In Holland, people would applaud warmly for a minute while still seated, then a few people would rise to their feet, and slowly others would join them, until most of the audience was standing by the very end. On a particularly good evening, this would also happen before the interval.
In Japan, the audience would stay seated and clap politely, but keep it up for so long and through so many curtain calls that the performers eventually understood they had been greatly appreciated.
In America, people would jump to their feet right away, cheering as if they were at a baseball game.
Standing ovations are rare in Eastern and Central European countries. It's a cultural thing. Audience is showing respect to artist applausing and giving him flowers.
We learn to understand and respect different traditions of other countries. However, style seems to be changing over time.

Yes, the composer is Igor Krutoy, the author of the lyrics is Lara Fabian and the singer is Dimash Qudaibergen ! The interesting fact is that Lara Fabian showed Dimash on the phone how to pronounce the lyrics some days before the show ! The song is from F2 to F6 that means 4 octaves in one song !

You are so right, in this song, Dimash shows us the lowest note in his vocal fry (A1) and a trully angelic voice in the Ave Maria part and again a very long high note at the end in one breath ! The song is a superior version from Alla Pugacheva and Dimash put his fingerprint making this song his own !
I have seen a number of time people say "I have not idea what he's singing, but I believed every word of it". That's how you know he's putting the passion and feeling into his work.

You may know the song of the blue alien in the movie The Fifth Element, the Diva Dance. It was intentionally composed to be unsingable. Dimash sung it on several occasions live on stage. Perhaps the most impressive version was recorded at the Bastau concert. It would be great to see you analyzing that performance. And because it is so short, you may add the duet version with Beijing Opera singer Li Yugang.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). Wait til you find out that he does his own arranging when he does covers so that the music more accurately portrays the emotion he wants to convey. Then you find out he's a multi-instrumentalist. Then you find out he's been doing this for 22 yrs (he's 27 now I think). Then you find out he's got two bachelors (Classical music and Contemporary music) and a masters (Composing) and is headed for his doctorate. And then you find out he dances (huge Michael Jackson fan) and raps. And then, and then, and then... Trust me, guys. He's nowhere near done surprising you and I'm loving watching you. I studied voice classically for 8 yrs in my youth and I definitely feel like the more you understand, the more amazing he is. How many artists can you say that about? Please keep them coming.
