I think it's healthy for a person to be nervous. It means you care - that you work hard and want to give a great performance. You just have to channel that nervous energy into the show.
Wow! I guess they were all nervous and that is a big let down for some but.. great vocals. I say practice makes perfect so, practice, practice and you'll see a big difference. They were all unique in their own way and I quiet enjoyed this show especially that my son in-law Jaga Rizza is one of the judges :) yes it is nerve wracking being on stage for the first time and especially when you know that you are being judged. When I first started singing on stage, I would look to the audience but focus on one thing in front of me and forget about everyone else. The more you're out there, you'll get over those nerves. My advice is practice singing in front of your family and friends at gatherings... It helps. Cheers and good luck.
Vocal Fusion is a fantastic musical event covered live by EMTV which must be continually supported for the long term. It is promoting local talent to perform and be judged. It is thru such performance & Judging that really brings out the best in each contestant / our local artist/ musicians. I am a regular audience and out of all the performances to date which were all very much exceptional by all contestants, I reckon, the best performance in all aspects was Gracelyn Johnhey who performed and sung Vunarigunide Adiloisa..... That was Top of the Range Performance and the Judges all agreed. Music is a Universally Contagious Thing..... One Does Not Need to Know the Lyrics of the song or the Language in which it is sung.... One needs Only to Hear It & Feel the Rhythm..... Well Done Grace.... I enjoyed the song & performance..... Keep looking up... Way to Go.....
My top 3 favourite performances despite the judges' remarks...1) Morris who rocked the house, 2) Gracelyn just wowed everyone with her confidence and 3) Peter...so smooth reppin Madang. I guess the trick was to song selection - if the contestants can find a song that will work the crowd...boy they can sell! I said it last show...VF needs real PNG judges on that show. That last comment/feedback from the talented Jaga after Peter's performance just hit the spot.
29:00 what a song, what a voice
Peter should be the next Vocal fusion Star. I know power in the vocals counts but i think this dude got quality. Bro try out next season. You Rock!!
Thanks sister means a lot :) nah it was good experience for me but I'm gonna pursue my music career by recording songs and gigging :D
