- As an automotive photographer I really like having a variety of focal lengths to choose from when on a job. My needs can vary from needing a far reaching 300mm lens to an ultra wide 15mm lens. However there is a ton of my work that lives in-between these focal lengths. I just picked this lens up to fill the void between my 15mm and my 24mm. This video is a discussion about using wide angles in general, not so much of an in-depth review of the lens.

One of my favs!! Excellent for infrared- Sony A7riii noveflex adapter 😊
For sure! This era of lenses have a special place in my heart.
UD stands for the amount of elements. U is 1 and D is 10 so it’s 11 elements.
@@Lensgnome no way! That’s so cool. I had no clue!
Informative video's . And not to offend but you have nice hands .
Very insightful!
I use that lens adapted on my Canon 5D .... works great !!!
They're sweet lens even in 2023! I'm glad to hear that you're still rocking one!
Pre-AI. The first letter in a pre-ai, indicates the number of lens elements in the lens itself in Latin. Look it up. I own one of those, IMO the coolest looking of all the Pre-AI lenses Nikon made, I own a bunch. I have a zeiss 15mm, hate it, just too wide. Try a 20mm F1.8, awesome lens.
