In todays video we will be restyling two Rainbow High dolls I picked up from a recent trip to the thrift store. I love giving dolls new life, so I knew when I saw Jade and Nicole at the store I had to rescue them. I will show you step by step how I restored these two Rainbow High dolls hair back to their former glory!

Washing dolls hair with cold water even right out of the box is also great way to keep any existing curl pattern. After washing the hair scrunching it in your hands and letting it air dry always works for me

Nylon and Saran doll hair types are both set with heat. If you buy a doll at the thrift store and you suspect its hair type is either nylon or saran, DO NOT use hot water to wash the hair or all those mats and tangles will get set in. It will also make the hair very frizzy. Trust me, I’ve been restyling thrift store doll hair for years. Great video! Jade and Nicole both turned out great!

You restored the green girl "Jade" from her used frizzy looks as my favorite restore of these two dolls. Dying Nicole Steele's hair blue like you did turned her into more a series 2 Shadow High doll from a series 1 doll. I don't like series 2's "color chromatic" dolls (a series 2 and some series 3 doll fails in my opinion). Using that navy blue color chromatic in the front of the hair made her an exaggerated Skylar colorized black and white TV chromed in blues appearing. What makes series 1 so good are the "Goth" black, white and grey monochromatic classic TV looks that I like initially in the Shadow High dolls. Other people like the colorized schemes (and that is okay also) but I personally prefer series 1's interests to make them look black and white TV classical.
I've noticed that water will seep up into parts that you didn't even put directly in the water. So, yea..if only wanting to dye part of the hair, that's difficult to stop it from spreading out to parts you don't want, if hair is on the same root plug.

love your channel and your restyles but i wouldn’t endorse temu if i were you… they have a horrible reputation. They’re extremely unethical and have terrible labor practices that harm the people who make the products. Plus the products themselves are usually super low quality (and sometimes contain dangerous chemicals) and generate huge amounts of waste. Buying anything off temu also poses serious data risks with them being accused of using spyware to collect data from their users.

Bought a Junior Skyler second hand on the interwebs and she has the worst rooting I have seen in my life! Her hair just falls out, whole plugs at a time! And I cut it to waist length and layered to diguise the thin rooting. Maybe I will reroot, but she also needs a new right hand. Dont know where to buy as shipping costs are ughhh
