Well I was not expecting that! Colour me impressed army armament , keep it up
Just got one of these and absolutely love it and changed the hop up to a maple leaf and a 75 autobot bucking, runs better then one of my others that I've spent upwards of £800, was really impressed with this pistol right out of the box
Great review James, also noticed you gave a great detail of info on your website about the Jag Precision x very impressive. ... just notice something to the end of your Video, you have XX robot ball at the end ... never seen that before .. you should get plastic molds of them for your CZcams fans about the size of a golf ball or a tennis ball 👍😃 great vids as usual and thanks for sending my TR16 MBR 308SR on time like the next day ... and in the morning. .. super fast. .. ps like the pistol .. I'm tempted 😉👍
This is one awesome looking pistol! The real stippling on the grip is awesome!! The only thing this version is missing is the STI logo on the frame and on the bottom of the flared mag well.
Good Video James, desperately pretty gun too.
I got one already- just ordered another one to go with my Glock 17 - Gen 4 and my 92FS Berretta - you're right - wicked gun - awesome dude!!!
What type of additional magazines can you buy for this if you don't mind? (Edit: He seems to be saying all Tokyo Marui mags)
Got one, it’s better than all the hype, it’s STUNNING!
Your video convinced me to purchase this version over the EMG version. Thanks 👍🏼
Me too
How’s it holding up
Great detailed review, keep it up
What we have to load it again after shooting one bullet
What hard shell holster would be the best for it? Would love to hear which ones everyone uses
Can someone please let me know if the front sight is pressure fit or has a set screw?
Very nice pistol and a solid review!
What size barrel adaptor does it need?
How do you get your version with Spread Barrel? Mine doesnt have
So say I had the money to get this one or the emg version which one do you recommend
Which mag its compatible whit this gun ?
Great review! What range was the target set at?
Is the hop chamber and blowback housing TM compatible?
hi, may i ask if TM hi-capas internals compatible with this pistol?
What size bbs does this gun take?? Please let me know
How do I fix a leaking mag? It's leaking from the bottom where the Taran Tactical baseplate connects. Unlike other baseplates, this one looks like it has two pins holding it in place and I can't figure out how to pop the pins out.
What parts are compatible with it
Can we agree mans got the best intro
does it come with a orange tip?
I own a real steel tti, and they do in fact come in gold
Gold gold gold gold gold ya ya
Im so damn glad i mess with the hopper alot on mine. Im not having any issues now.
Can a red dot sight be installed on this?
does this thing need to be modified in order to fire with CO2 magazines?
Is this better than EMG’s version?
What type of bbs does it take
Does this pistol run on Green Gas or CO2? Or both?
Comparing apples to apples, Evike's Combat master is equally as visually appealing and performs extremely well. With CO2 mags, it shoots around 400 fps. Grouping is great too. With the preorder, (extra green gas mag and holster), it's $195. Full disclosure, I'm not an Evike spokesperson or paid to endorse their product. I received this piece during their first preorder and am extremely pleased with it.
I have looked at the Evike site, I see the EMG version on their site, but did not see their own. I’m going to get a combat master, and just want the best one, but I will need to ask them about their own version.
@@MrZola1234 EMG stands for Evike manufacturing group
@@Pigioto1 there are 2 big manufacturers that make the gun. I ended up with the EMG version. Nice gun, very fun. I target shoot in the house from around 20 feet
@@MrZola1234 Nice! I too got the EMG version. I use it as a primary for indoor CQB and it works well out of the box
@@Pigioto1 I wish I could get the real one, but it’s a no go in California
Looks awesome
Why does mine have a plastic outer barrel
I want to use this over a mk23 or ssx23. How much better range will I get from a mk23 and ssx23? For my the ups must out weight the bad. Ssx23 and mk23 are for sure more silent and I'm thinking more range. The thing a hi capa will have is a much better trigger action. If the range of this can come close to that of the mk23 and ssx23 I think I'll consider it.
Think I've just found my new pistol
Just bought it
@@georgemapp2855 is it keeping up good?
Accuracy distance?
Could u do a review on the army armament R34-1
Can I purchace extra magazine.
I saw a YTER shoot both the Jag and EMG and he picked the Jag… most notable to him was it was more accurate, and the grip construction he preferred.
Won't lie, also winced at the AA OEM. You can definitely see the finish difference on the metal but i won't lie, I'm impressed, especially for that pricepoint.
Is this Tm compatible
How far was that bench mark test. That speed and recoil looks a little bit more than the real one. Taran and atlas gunworks you shoot the ground it will somehow hit the target
Hi! Is the ambi thumb safety really working, or the one for left thumb is only aesthetic, as I read somewhere on the web? As I'm left handed, it's pretty important. Thanks!
It's working.
Army Armament pistols are fine on their own - but their mags love to leak gas. Replacing o-rings and doing the teflon-tape fix is to be expected sooner or later... I wonder, when those (or hi-capas its based on) will hit european market and what price those would get (hopefully not more, that 20-30 GBP than MEU)...
I really like this jw3 combat Master but i dont if i should buy this pistol or delta armory rifle, damn i cant choose
What a Monster..
confused, some reviews say like the slide doesnt stay out when empty and the barrel isnt threaded. Is there a serielnumber reference or something?
I think it’s a newer version which doesn’t have threaded barrel and the older version does
Hi, my Jag Combat Master has no threaded outer barrel?! Anyone knows if they sold different versions?
I heard there is some with it and without it
This'll be a long wall of test though.
So got mine, and yes externally it is one of my favourite airsoft pistols and shooting wise, very very snappy for a Green Gas even compared to some TM guns.
However, I must've hit the short straw in some of the internals
The leaf spring from what I can tell was a bit on the iffy side and the trigger disconnect misligned easily (causing it to turn into a bonafide machinepistol) and the spring in the knocker valve also misaligned very VERY easily. Luckily I had spare parts from a WE Hi Capa I neglect to use and turned said WE into a display piece. I also preemptively changed the hammer, I've heard that the Jag Precision one is hit and miss according to some reviewers who used it in extensive tests and can snap, not experienced it yet but be warned if you don't have spare parts.
On the plus side, out of the box it is pretty gas efficient for a metal gun, can clear 50+ rounds with the magazines, maybe more if I had warmed them. 45 rounds on rapid strings (and I'm talking rapid) and the slide lock is very reliable due to an extended tab not seen on most hi-capas, about 99% of the time it locks back on last round where as I've had to modify slide locks on WE and AW guns to ensure they do. You may struggle to power stroke it initially on slide lock, but I don't care about that. I personally don't like the extended magazine release but it works very well if you're looking for it. Trigger is decent but I won't call it the lightest 2011/1911 style trigger I've used, but it's combat adequate with positive reset, one I'd choose over a Glock any day. With some tuning, you'll be able to lighten the trigger if you are familiar with it, otherwise it's a matter of getting used to it. The magwell extension is great, unbstructive and it doesn't block my WE 5.1 magazines and so far works with them. Out of the box it's pretty accurate, though still getting used to the trigger to take advantage. Can easily shoot a small square target one side of the house to the other but a new hopup may improve the performance. The safety is also a bit on the loose side so it's a little bit too easy to engage and disengage.
Based on what I've seen, it's partial TM compatible with things like the piston and trigger sets but you may find it difficult to find a slide or barrel that'll match the 5.4 frame, you may be better off searching for the KLI/SRC Baba Yaga. Lacks trades and is 5.1 but that means it's better compatible with TM Hi Capa Parts, and from what I've heard, quite reliable and consistent with quality control vs Jag Precision with CO2 compatibility off the bat. I will also note that this gun fits perfectly with the 8-Fields Kydex Hi Capa/2011 holster.
I've shot mine at least a couple hundred times in a short string, and it's holding up. I think I found my new sidearm to replace my franken-1911 I put together.
So in conclusion: If you can procure it at £135 or less depending on where you look, it's a decent gun out of the box. It's not perfect in some areas and I will note that there are some quality control issues and my one was a casualty. HOWEVER, this is a great gun if you are willing to get hands on and/or replace some parts and turn it into your tuned sidearm. For those who just want a display piece, this'll do it at a cheap price and it'll look pretty cool for John Wick fans. For an out of the box working gun, pray that yours works as some have had great luck, others like me not so much. But for the tinkerer or airsoft gunsmith, this is a great base gun.
ReapingRose115 I didn’t even wanna read the today ugh come on you made me
Damn. This is the most thoughtful comment review I've ever read. Lots of good insight and notes thanks! Is finding a replacement 5.4 outer barrel and hammer pretty straightforward for when those things wear down on the JAG? It's going to be a display piece for me mostly
@@KuyaPow626 You might find something in places like Airsoft GoGo and Airsoft Tiger which sell slide sets, not sure about barrels on their own. Expect LONG wait times however
An update to my previous review: Defo at least 6000+ BBs down the pipe. It's holding up but the barrel's finish is defo worn. But overall, with the initial gripes out of the box, it's still workable and can be your go to.
@@ReapingRose115 is defo just short for definitely? Or is defo a term for something else in airsoft? Deformed? I hope not. Thats good it really has been put through a stress test by you. Im gonna try and buy replacement parts like a hammer thatll drop in
@@KuyaPow626 Definitely I mean
It's my go to sidearm and I even do lots of practice with it outside of matches
Superb
how compatible of the mags? Is it compatible with CZ P09?
joao fonseca of course not, it’s a hi capa
Do you think it would be possible to take internal parts of TM Hi capa and put in the shell of AA Combat Master? It'd be cheaper to buy AA than a new slide (plastic slide eventually cracks, and stock slide wobbles), spring (required for metal slide), blowback unit (heard it helps with metal slide too) and a grip (hate the stock grip) for TM
I was thinking about doing that too but i don't know if it's possible
No it doesn’t
Tbh the trigger on the EMG replicates the real thing. That's why its so sensitive because is was build to be a race gun.
Do you know what mags are compatible?
AW you have to take off the base plate
That sir, is a very awesome pistol👍😁♥️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭wish I could have one of those 😁
What holster did you take for it? Can you recommend a compatible one?
Would like to know too...

This one is compatible. Enjoy
damn it's fucking gorgeous. I'm not even a john wick fan but for 150 and the beauty I think I'm gonna get this
I know you aren’t from the UK but over here unless you get a license you need to have your airsoft gun “two-toned”. IE 51% spray painted red, blue, green, or pink, some colour like that
I’m going to be getting this gun in red, the entire slide is red, logo removed, yn where it says “combat master” from the 1 image I have that’s not there, everything else is the same though
I don’t see anybody making videos or any images online of the two toned version of this gun, and I just wanted to mention it would be nice for someone to look into and make a video on it if possible, just for the benefit of people like me. You don’t have to ofc just wanted to mention it in hopes
Good video though, solidified my purchase for me, thanks : )
could it handel co2 mags?
@ben swift yes i know tha aw emg foes but does the army armament jag taran tactical pistol?
Can WE hi-capa mags fit in?
Just got mine and yes they do. A little tight compared to the stock mag but it works just fine !!
No wall travel? Even my Real pistols have a little travel before the wall. I don't think I've ever had a pistol with the trigger wall being right up front. My ksg has travel, my sr45 and sec-9 have travel. Even the m4 I was issued in reserves.
Looks amazing.... how would I go about putting a tracer unit on it? Many thanks
It looks like it’s got a threaded barrel, however I’ve seen other which don’t?
Yeah the first Version used to have a threaded Barrel but for some reason (maybe manufacturing cost?) They removed it. Maybe look for spare parts of just custom tinker it urself ..i would try and tell you how it went but their bundle deal is always sold out so i am not getting mine yet xD
I have the version with the threaded barrel, but I am new to airsoft, i also want a tracer on it but I don't know what thread it has, I saw on a evike comment that it has 14mm positive, but I don't know how reliable that source is , since it was just a random comment lol
@@navajas9668 i just brought this guy today and im also looking for a suppressor or tracer for it, I measured the inside of the barrel, thread to thread and its 10mm
Does c02 work with the jag? And which mags?
I've been looking for the answer to this for so long. Let me know if u do find out :)
sTaRfAcE-123 I’ve heard that c02 can run In it.. but I haven’t found a compatible mag or even seen a review with c02. But I have the Jag and it’s pretty slick. Haven’t been on a field yet due to this virus
still not the right colour for the barrel. in my opinion its a burnt copper colour/ brown but at least the slide release is almost correct as the real steel version has a flat nub on the other side when the slide catch is in the gun instead of a round ball on the other guns. over all best version of the sti tti i've seen so far.
Is this fully TM compatible ? Thanks.
Tony Stovepipe same question
Yes called the company
This pistol is really good looking and it shoots very well, but talking about materials it's a disaster. I know some people who got the hammer broke in half after a few magazines shot, and disassembling mine I noticed that the whole trigger assembly is made of zinc alloy, which is terrible for a 150$/170$ price range airsoft pistol.
playing paintball as a pistol guy and thinking of starting with airsoft as a pistol shooter is this the gun i need and not get disappointed at?
how does it stand against novritsch pistols in term of feel in hand, shooting, relaiability?
i just ordered it but i could not find any extra mags, where could i get some?
From what I've seen normal hi caps mags should be compatible, but ain't 100% sure
@@rekinxxxl ok thanks

Hey! After 4 months what you're thinking?
@@andreascala7425 I mean it's a cool gun but some parts are bad quality like the hammer, it broke after about 1500 shots and I have fixed it with glue and tape for now and soon I'm gonna replace it. The mag lips are also pretty bad quality, I accidentally droped it one time and the lip bent and 2 weeks later the whole spring shot itself out because the mag lip broke off.
Overall the gun is very fun but frustrating,
Pros: it looks very good, it shoots hard, good weight, John Wick mode, good grip, really fun to shot, noisy wich I like
Cons: Some parts are bad quality, mag lips break off easily
Hope that sums it up for you, if you are going to buy it expect to do some maintance on it if your using it alot like me.
@@Victor-wv3og thank you another time. Shame on that hammer...1500 shots are around 60 full mags and should not brake in this way..but yes, it is a very nice looking gun.
Jesus! Get a room!!!! 😋
Is "superb" a english or british word or somthin
Yes.
Got mine yesterday and there are definitely things that are complete crap(not from you guys):
Negatives:
1. The front sight is a total piece of BS and is angled and overall garbage. The front hole for the fiber is to the right and looking at it you see an angle and not a straight line(checked this on a friend's piece and it was absolutely the same). Whatever you do - you'll need to buy front sight and throw this crap in the bin!
2. The thumb safety is a total crap as well. Moving it several times causes the right one to stop functioning because it just doesn't connect with the left one anymore. Looking closely you can see how both of these start to separate from the frame little by little with every move - I did disassemble them and saw that the connection between the both left and right is just made with terrible quality. The little slot on the left one where the right should go is more in a /\ shape than ||. Very easy for these to fall apart. They are actually shorter than the overall width of the gun and when assembled they do not lock in place but have a partial lock - that is most likely the reason for the behavior.
3. The cocking lever had a big patch of missing paint
4. It is quite easy to move the slide locking pin from any position of the slide. It would move by 2-3mm before hitting the wall of the slide and hence preventing the total disassembly at any given moment(at least this is OK). Not sure if this is like that on other guns because this is my first.
5. The rear sight was totally off center but I was able to fix that with the screw
6. Outer barrel was heavily scratched at the very back where no moving part would even touch it so I have zero idea how the hell this happened
Positives:
1. The slide movement is just perfect. No scratches no issues - it is like butter!
2. Mag release works perfectly as well
3. Very little play of the outer barrel in normal position of the slide
4. Absolutely no play of the trigger as per this video - Confirmed!
5. The tolerances of the slide itself compared to the lower frame are also perfect. Absolutely no complains here.
6. The overall action of the gun except the stupid thumb safety is good. Haven't actually tried the firing since I'm waiting for my gas and BBs delivery
Replacing the front sight and thumb safety would set me back around 23-25Eur.
Any real questions that anyone has, I'll answer every single one of them. If you need to know something real about this gun just ask!
surr3a1 hi there, bit late but I’m assuming you’ve got your gas and bbs now? Do you have any idea what the FPS and gas efficiency is like?
@@maxgorniak4818 Hi, the gas efficiency was pretty good with stock parts. Around the 100th shot, the mag lips broke on me and that was the last bit which I couldn't take anymore, so I returned it back to the shop.
Is it worth the extra money for the emg one? Does the jag one have barrel threads? If so, what kind? And finally is it compatible with Tm mags?
Is this the one that airsoftGI sells? I did't know they had trade marks. Also just subbed ;)

Maciej xxx how did it go with the co2 mags???
