At intro 15 seconds in.... "Good schooling for my kids, no over-crowded classrooms here". I remember recording that line at the Department of Film Production, 64 Brisbane Street, where I worked. But it was early 70's I believe.
I started my first job.in 1975 the year the Tasmanian bridge was knocked down i definitely remember use to catch the ferry boat from my home across the Derwent river and me dad brother they certainly were the days my father worked on the Tasmanian bridge helped rebuild the new road span that was missing great memories 👍
learn a trade, and pave the way. shame we can't do that anymore :(
love living here since 2019 as the weather is suitable for me and my neighbours talk to me and are friendly unlike melbourne
I did year 10 in Northern Tassie 1978 and it was an abysmal school system.....
I have a few of those letterpress pieces in my studio. It was good to see them in situ at Tafe Hobart
How far we've come in such a short span of time. Boyer is now self sufficient with plantation timber, the zinc works cleanly lives alongside residential areas that are beautiful, Burnie has turned into a truly amazing place with aquamarine coastline and zero stink, mining processes have matured, and tourism is now a major economy. We still have challenges ... but why Tasmania? For too many reasons to mention in 16 minutes. $0.02
Hosted by Leonard Teale, Australian actor & star of the long-running Australian tv series & police drama, 'Homicide'.
Which I never watched because I was too young.

Hang on haven't used uploaded this before I was watching this the other day on your channel?
Hi Dean, yes we did. Someone pointed out that the end had been cut off in the version we uploaded last week. This one is the full version.
LINC Tasmania oh cool it's a really good video as well I've been enjoying all the uploads lately from from use lot keep up the good work :-)
LINC Tasmania Do you have any videos of 10 Murray Street Government offices?
No, I'm sorry. It doesn't look like we have anything that mentions 10 Murray Street. There could be an incidental shot of them somewhere in a film after 1969, when the government offices were built, but nothing that has been mentioned in our descriptions.
@@20centurymodern they feature often in the 1979-80 tv series Fatty and George, including the opening credits, all episodes of which are available on CZcams.
For me, the sixties ones are more captivating. This one seems flat. Also, the film quality seems cheap. Valuable as a historical docuument tho.
Beautiful scenery but that's all. My first 25 years were in Tasmania. Schooling was terrible and the nepotism for jobs is appalling.
