JEEP SAFARI - Minneriya National Park, Sri Lanka

- Minneriya National Park is in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938.
The trip was booked as a package at our hotel (the Sevonrich Holiday Resort, Dambulla). We could not have had a better time with our guide Chamara and driver Jeewan - thank you both.

Thank you, the trip was brilliant, we were really fortunate to have the jeep to ourselves, most of the other vehicles were packed.
Very nice capture and this clip brought my memory back to visit the same place with my parents. Very beautiful and this is the place you need to visit elephants as a bunch... Can't identify whether this is morning or evening. Evening is the best time for elephant watching...
Glad you enjoyed it, the video was taken during the afternoon and by the time we saw the elephant herds it was maybe around 4pm, we also had an incredible time there.

How much was the Jeep Safari ? 1st man told us Rs.12000.Then reduced to Rs.9000. Later we asked another tourist couple how much they have paid.And they said Rs.15000.

Our hotel (the Sevonrich Holiday Resort, Dambulla), organised all our trips as a package, that included Sigiriya, Dambulla Cave Temple, Polonnaruwa, and Minneriya National Park they also threw in a look at Dambulla Sunset Rocks for free, I think we paid $140 each for everything, which was a really good price.
I don't know what the price of each individual trip was, Rs.12000 sounds a bit expensive just for the safari.
