He is the result of disgusting greed of breeders and people who want designer dogs! People want fotografic white dogs. He is a double merle, this has often devastating internal health results.
This should never have happend with a responsible breeder, you have to gen test with all breeds capable of merle genes..
Still, may his shortened life be wounderful with his family!
Although we understand what you're saying... Hogan and his siblings were genuinely a mistake litter. @@kleinshui9082 The breeder was in hospital and his dogs were being cared for by someone. They bred while the owner was away. Not every litter is intentional.

@@kleinshui9082 Our Hogan was a genuine mistake. Although I do understand your concern Hogan is not the "result of disgusting greed". In this case, he is the product of a double merle genuine mistake breeding while the owner was in hospital and dogs were in care of someone else.

This world would be a much better place with people like this in the world, I have a one year old deaf Dogo argentino and she means the world to me, she wants to follow me everywhere I go and I’m okay with that.
Saving one dog may not change the world but to them their whole world has changed...... And you've done that for him and his other fur siblings..... You changed their whole wide world! Thank you! Please adopt don't shop.... When you do you save at least 2 lives.....
I’m on my 5th rescue dog now he has had 6-9yrs of abuse is covered in scars, and so needed a lot of slow gentle training to learn he could trust me as he especially wary of Men, but all humans apart from elderly women and children scared him a lot. But after 8 months with me he is doing so much better and a lot more confident and wants to approach people now. He is great with other dog’s and cats, as he is on the bed with me and my friend’s dog and cat while we house & pet sit. Every one of my dog’s has been wonderful, my white American Staffy who was badly abused too, he was so anxious that they didn’t pick up that he was visually impaired, but I already had a German Shepherd who I got as a 6yr old she was a puppy mill, she became a bit like his seeing eye dog, and she lived until she was 18yrs old. Adopt don’t shop so many amazing animals that show you so much love.

This sweet baby was not a mistake, he was born for a reason. And that reason was to end up with his loving family, who showers him with the love he deserves despite his disabilities

Thank goodness you guys adopted him. Up until a few years ago, I was legally blind. I had lost all my vision in my right eye and was losing my vision in my left eye. It got to the point where I couldn't tell if the crossing sign on the other side was red or green. It can be a scary world when you are visually impaired. So glad you are giving him the extra care he needs. He is adorable. 2 eye surgeries later, I can see. Not great, but so much better. So glad you are there for him.

Hogan just exudes happiness. Obviously his family gives him everything he needs and much more. I too have light issues with my eyes so l can sympathise. I do not go out without sunglasses. Even on dingy days the solar rays are present. On those days l wear less dark sunglasses and inside l generally keep the lights low.
I never comment on these stories but was very much compelled to do so here. He was so lucky to have ended up with you and your family! His joy is totally evident. Well done!

Danes are such a bitter sweet breed, so easily to love their huge personalites, so hard to deal with their short life expectancy.
