The east always takes second place. There's so much to see in the east that never gets covered by anyone.
Right now is not the best time to visit the eastern part of the US.
Audubon zoo is the PERFECT place to catch your breath! I love that zoo so much!
You know you've seen Raiders of the Lost Ark too many times when you see a Mayan or Aztec water fountain, and expect those four holes to launch poison darts. 😆

My suggestion for zoos is the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Florida and the Calgary Zoo in Alberta, Canada. They have been my favourites and each offer hands-on experiences.
What a great zoo. The animals were so active...and vocal!

The gorilla in the hammock was about the cutest thing I have ever seen!
The white gators were so cool. I have never seen an active gator before. Every time I've spotted one, it's been laying motionless in the sun.
I could watch zoo trips every day! Love them. I especially liked the albino alligators!

We have 2 white alligators at our zoo in Dallas, Texas..and we got them from Louisiana...
There are also melanistic alligators. They are almost like completely black. It's common in some reptiles.
Best Farside joke was with the alligator on the witness stand yelling "of I did it in cold blood you idiot I'm a reptile

I am putting a vote in San Antonio. I only got to see it 1 day when I lived there. My dad lived there for 3 years. Did a lot of fishing. Safe travels.
I've been to that zoo close to 15 times and I've only seen the albino alligator move once. You got quite a treat!

I used to (and still do…) love hanging out around the corner from him, listening for the unsuspecting kids to see him and freak out 😂 also the bouncy music in the Mayan exhibits, so much fun. When I was growing up in Evansville Indiana, my family would occasionally go to the Mesker Park Zoo. The monkey enclosure had this pirate ship for them to play on.

We always love seeing you go to zoos and aquariums. So happy you stayed another day in New Orleans, it was what our vote would have been. It does not look like for the next vote you will be heading to Dallas but if by tomorrow the numbers shift drastically then a cool thing in Dallas is their aquarium. It is more like an indoor zoo but worth a look, we filmed it like four years ago and fell in love with the place.

I went there when I saw little!, omg I’m literally crying 😭, we use to live close by, never knew there was a Rougarou thing built, I saw a two headed snake there though.

My wife and I were in NOLA, just before the virus debacle.
We didn't get to that zoo, but we did enjoy the Audubon insectorium. We generally enjoy zoos, time allowing.

I never got to get out much, so I loved zoos as a kid.
And feeding the animals, even my local zoo I went to.
Thank you for the tour, I enjoyed it.
I recall as a kid going to the reptile house where you would see live rabbits in the tanks with the snakes. Occasionally, you would encounter a snake with a rabbit shoved halfway in its gaping jaws. It was an unsettling vision, which I believe most zoos have now discontinued this practice.

This zoo was awesome! You definitely need to visit the San Diego zoo in California if you haven’t been before.
I love seeing what other zoos are like, so I don't mind seeing you visit more zoos. If you end up where I am in Colorado, you should visit the Cheyenne mountain zoo in Colorado springs. You can feed the giraffes. Heck I'm a member and I can bring a guest! Hint hint.
