  • On May 24th 2024, the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center officially reopened to the public.
"We bring the past along with us," said Joyce Hunsaker, Former Director of the Oregon Trail Preservation Trust and direct descendent of Oregon Trail pioneers. "Hopefully, it enriches the lives of those who come see the dioramas and find themselves within the exhibits."
Located in Baker City, Oregon, the center has been closed for three years while it underwent renovations. Thanks to partial funding from the Great American Outdoors Act, the center is now all-electric and uses 73% less energy.
Come see the living history demonstrations, interpretive programs, exhibits, multi-media presentations, special events, and more than four miles of interpretive trails!
