  • Leonardo AI Are Consistent Characters Possible? Today I want to show you some simple techniques to get character consistency. Although it's not 100% accurate we can get fairly close with some techniques. By nature AI generated images are random, so controlling the outcome can be a little tricky. This video is for people who can't run stable diffusion locally and have to rely on online AI image generators like Leonardo AI. leonardo.ai/

But, honestly, I did not search about it because I was trying to learn about more trivial stuff. Last August I tried Midjourney and then gave it up. So much has changed since then! @@MonzonMedia ,yes, Leonardo, BlueWillow, Playground are several apps that I found. I haven't tried these two yet. I imagine that each one has its specificity but the base will be the same. By the way, if you can tell me, do you like Playground better? Right now I'm exploring Tiling in Leonardo and I haven't been getting satisfactory results. I can always improve the image in the PSD but I wanted something perfect and I'm not getting it. I didn't see very good patterns either, maybe it's not Leonardo's forte, as other types of images seem to come out very well

    This was very helpful for me, it was still very inconsistent at times at least that’s been my experience and maybe its the style I’m working with but it doesn’t want to give me a character sheet at times. Then when I do get a character sheet it can be somewhat consistent. Not sure what I’m exactly doing wrong BUT I was able to get enough for what I’m working on. Which I’m thankful for, best part is gaining the experience and learning and getting better and better

    • @MonzonMedia
      @MonzonMedia  Před rokem +1

      Hi Heritage Joy, yeah it's not a fool proof method and because stable diffusion is so random by nature, it will be inconsistent with every generation. The tech is advancing fast though and I think we will be closer to being able to do consistent characters a bit easier soon. There are models you can run locally that are trained for character sheets so that's an option if you can run it locally. But even then it's not perfect either. What I'm experimenting with is doing a few that are close enough, then using canvas on Playground AI to make adjustments and changes because it has more "editing" control. For this type of character creation it will take some post production.

    I’m really struggling with a kids storybook I’m trying to create. The character is not a human, it’s a fish. But trying to get consistent back side & front views is a nightmare. Are there any tips you could give me? I use Leo & playground mostly. Only on iPad tho. Thanks for your awesome vids, and I’m glad you are now doing playground videos too 🇦🇺❤️

    • @MonzonMedia
      @MonzonMedia  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Hi MissChelle, it can be tricky at times and will most likely require multiple generations. You can try something like this prompt: character sheet, multiple poses, cute fish, cartoon, pixar. Or use character turnaround insstrad of character sheet, it also might help to specify front view, back view, side view either together or individually. Using prompt magic Leo helps with this.
      Personally I've found the easiest way for specific positions is to use ControlNet with a reference image, either free hand drawing or a stock image. Hope that helps! 👍

    So long story short, nothing beats training models :) Find on internet 15-20 images of a character (or just one 3D model and create different images of it) and train a model with it. You'll spend more time but the result will be much better

    • @MonzonMedia
      @MonzonMedia  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Definitely nothing beats proper model training however it still doesn’t address getting consistent results with clothes. Training Loras is the closest we can get to this point. Then there is using ControlNet reference that works really well without having to train. Furthermore, I think the way things are evolving, there really shouldn't be any need to train models to get consistent characters. This is supposed to be easier right? We'll get there eventually.
