It's not new. Where do you think they got this from? If you lived in a low income house your parents probably did this. But it wasn't for fun. They didn't go buy themselves a whole new wardrobe. School supplies, car needs fixed, insurance so your license doesn't get suspended, gas bill is always high. Did you know if your gas gets cut off they take your children away? You are aware the things she supposedly did “all for Ginny and Austin” won’t matter if she gets caught… right? It’s quite literally a felony. It’s a felony to even APPLY for anything credit-based under another person’s name without their consent. You get in even more trouble if you’re approved. Even if it’s something you tell the person who’s name you used and they consent after the fact, it’s still illegal. They didn’t give consent at the time of the background check, so it’s no longer valid.

I don’t understand why everyone hates on Ginny for how she handles the whole credit card scandal. She has a right to be angry at her mom for this. How is Georgia in the right for using her children’s credit and ruining it. Whether she meant to ruin it or not, Ginny’s score is 315. And in reality it would take years and years to even raise that to a decent score. I’ve seen the show and I understand that her mother does everything she can to provide a better life for her children, however that does not give her a free pass for the wrong she has done. If this wasn’t a show, I doubt so many would be siding with the parent who used their child’s name for a credit card, leaving their child with a score of 315 before they even turn 18.
Yeah but the sad truth is that it’s not uncommon for parents to put their debt on their children and never tell them and till 18 and then leave them when their future is ruined for at least 10+ to pay back the original amount and with interest.
My mom told me all about people like that because she got a debt from her ex husband because he bought stuff in her name and she is still paying it off 10+ years later while raising 2 kids with a single income

It's not new. Where do you think they got this from? If you lived in a low income house your parents probably did this. But it wasn't for fun. They didn't go buy themselves a whole new wardrobe. School supplies, car needs fixed, insurance so your license doesn't get suspended, gas bill is always high. Did you know if your gas gets cut off they take your children away? Some people are raising kids with no breaks, no help, and sometimes no idea what they are doing. They just try their best but make mistakes along the way. I'm blessed my mother didn't do this. But I had PLENTY of friends whose parents did. When you mature you realise they were trying their best. They should also be willing to help you fix it when you are grown. Unfortunately if you come up from a poor background this is the poor tax. IYKYK. But that's why people are still mad at Ginny. They know this was a desperate act that she doesn't understand, condemns, but still gets the benefits of.
