you should do a video on tools and accessories you would recommend for new utility locators that the job does not provide, things like boots, and anything else to make the job easier on new people.
I will consider it but locating companies locate different utilities some locate companies only do one utility and others may do 2 or 3 utilities and the bigger locating companies may do 4 or 6 different utilities so it's kind of hard to determine what kind of tools each utility locating person will need.
With such a lack of rain the ground has been so tough I had to dig up some grass to put in a mulch bed was not easy lol 😂
The ground is so damn dry it seems like I'm pounding through concrete to get my ground rod in. 😅

Is there a reason you ground out in range w/ your utility, instead of perpendicular to it?
When I place my ground rod parallel with the utility, I aim to minimize signal loss and ensure a clear, direct path for the return signal back to my ground rod.
To be honest, water is the service I despise locating. Never get a strong tone when marking water in my area, bad prints to work with, and of course cement pipes in the area. I know a few of my co-workers use dowsing rods to help locate water but I was always skeptical on them
Having expertise in utilizing rods can be highly beneficial and advantageous to keep at your disposal.

What frequency did you use ?
It really all depends on the resistance on the cable that I'm trying to locate. I mainly mark out power and power has high resistance so I have to use a higher frequency to blow through the resistor.

@@811chicago5 got my first damage Tuesday 100 pair att fml I don’t know how I missed it I located the fiber and copper about 2 feet apart I didn’t see that other one on the prints
@@andrewtovar1310 I would bring up that concern to the supervisor to make sure they're not pinning damage on you. Did they take you out there to show you the damage?
