I agree being able to run is better than having to jump
I remember back in the days watching a programme on the discovery channel engineering the impossible I learnt that most of this constructions will cause a lot of global shortage of the materials needed especially steel and other concrete materials, so how are the engineers to over come these problems
It is said that China has constructed so many buildings so fast, that the amount of concrete used had caused the planet to have a slight wobble or something. Also, it is said that India has removed so much water from an aquifer that the huge cavern left behind has made some other thing happen. I need to refresh my memory..

I can just imagine one building that had it's own city complete within it with everything you need from grocery stores, clothing stores, etc and never having to leave the building.
There is such a city. It's in Whittier, Alaska
There was something like that planned in Japan.
nice
If you try and invent very tall buildings it will feel like your in a aeroplane the temperature would probably drop really low
And never seeing the nice nes of nature 🌲🌴🌳🎋🌲🌲🌲🌴
The big bend: how will physics work with me
The Arch: imma just be here in the dust
there's a lot of better things you can do with that kind of money. ( feed and shelter the poor.)
Taller towers will provide more shelter to more people
@@alvexok5523 Firstly, building such towers just to 'provide shelter' isn't a good idea - it's too expensive. It'd be cheaper to just build soviet-style blocks. Secondly, giving food and providing shelter isn't a sustainable solution. If you let the economy do its thing, people will get jobs, and they will be able to provide shelter and food for themselves.
Or stop world hunger or both.
Malaysia is developed ... beggars are given food and money every day ..

China: Takes 90 days to build a skyscraper
My country: Takes 20+ years to fix a road
My prediction is super towers as offices wont last. Instead large apartments or condos with office space combined with huge amounts of office floor space will be the future of towers.

That would be the dream but it would be harder to sell

This video would have been amazing if it used units invented in the last 300 years. Then we could all understand how high these buildings really are. I am indeed amazed that people still use feet, just like in the days of the pyramids!

Cool thing, the Great Pyramid was the tallest building for 3800 years.
Well, I saw the pnb few days ago. It seems like they're already working on the viewable spiral
I wish Egypt would build a giant sundial with its obelisk.
IT IS!! But in another city in egypt called Tutera and the city also has a new built pyramid 4 times the size of the ones in giza
Now PNB118 second tower in the World.. Malaysia 🇲🇾
Imagine if humans get so advanced we can literally have a elevator where we can send ships or things into space
I'd totally just live in the top needle of the sky needle. I'd love to live literally in the clouds. To bad I'll never be rich enough for that to happen
I'd love to visit the top of the mile high tower in Tokyo, but if it won't be completed until 2045, you think I'll even live to see that? I'm 46 right now.
Do you get to the cloud district often? Oh what am I saying. Of course you don’t.
@@alvexok5523 Its only 26 years away. You'll be 70 at that point and assuming you live in a first world country you are pretty likely to live to be much older than that. I personally am only 17 so I'm pretty likely to see all these buildings eventually erected but I live in the third world and the expected life expectancy is only somthing like 60 so idk
@@Forest9528 you never know, you may live older than that. Maybe you'd move to a first world country someday. I'm in the US. I've met people here before who have moved here from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Venezuela, Colombia, what country are you in? If you're not wanting to leave where you are because of all your family being there, I understand that too
@@alvexok5523 I personally live in South Africa and technically we are the most advanced country in africa and we are closest to the first world. Dont get me wrong we are still quite far behined but we are also way head to Nigeria and those countries. We are only expected to live 64 years but that's mainly because we have a huge HIV pandemic. If you dont get HIV your way more likely to live to 70-80 so it's quite deceptive. Personally I dont have a reason to not leave because I'd love to live in different places but idk if I'd live in the US

Okay so it's all a competition, everyone wants to build the tallest building, wonder what next they'll do when they get bored.
By 2200, there'll be towers 2 miles high, too bad we'll all be long gone by then.
Deepest buildings
I expected to see the Ultima Tower aswell in San Francisco, and the Tokyo tower of Babel.
The SpaceX starship will deliver at least 150 ton payloaads to earth orbit at a cost of 2 million dollars for the flight which means that the cost per pound of payload will only be about 7 dollars a pound which not only is the reason why it will revolutionize space travel but also be much cheaper to put payloads into orbit than any space elevator
Damnit, I need to build my dirt building taller
Imagine this building getting terrorised what could they do to not let the other country get crushed by this sky crapp-er
WHICH building? which? 😐 how should anybody which building you are talking about? My god is that so freakin hard concidering that?!
Space elevator of some sort is the ticket. A 5 day trip is nothing. We would still launch ships, but imagine how quickly and cheaply we could move supplies and building materials off planet. That would also free up space in ships for more people! Fingers are crossed to see this in my lifetime...2080ish
If a space elevator is built. It would mean having the likely ability to be able to build much much larger spacecraft. Assuming such space craft went to mars orbit or elsewhere hopefully they could come back to the top of the space elevator to be refueled and restocked with supplies for further trips to wherever. One big potential problem is that when spacecraft came back it might bring down the whole thing. Ideally on coming back the spacecraft could go into orbit below the top of elevator and fuel and supplies could just be pushed or launched from elevator to holding bay of spacecraft.
the arch building will probably have two elevators on each side and then either a bridge on the top middle area or an office or suite
Ok now I’m amazed
LET’S BRING THE SPACE ELEVATOR TO LIFE 😭👏🏽
The space elevator seems so lame in my opinion
I say its impossible cause how are you gonna build in space?
That 22k mile elevator is crazy.
Eventually the upper floors will need to be pressurized and accessed through airlocks.

So what happens if a major earthquake hits 💔
Then everybody dies
most modern skyscrapers are designed to sway, even ones built where quakes are less common, they’re built to absorb a quake up to a certain amount that’s agreed upon

Any day now, Tokyo Tower of Babel…👀
No lie, seeing that is actually scary to me because of how massive it is…
You literally are be amazed and I'm Amazed
The Egypt Tower with the silly and stupid vertical moving louvers is a bust. No one buys high rise space to have that much view blocked. No One. Ok? Also the cost to build these things is severely underestimated. $3 Billion should be $30 Billion. Space elevator would not cost $10 Billion, try $10 Trillion or even $100 Trillion.
So this is basically a competition now? Who can build the tallest skyscraper?
It’s been like that since the first skyscraper in Chicago.

That would be devastating and would destroy many buildings, houses and other important things, and since it is likely to shake a large area, millions would probably lose their homes, tens of thousands of injured and a few thousand people could be dead.
Just imagine the elevator breaking

why even have an elevator, if there is technology like the stargate, then there is no need for an elevator. just a fun idea lol
Helicopter will be ready
Burj Khalifa: "I'm the tallest building in the world."
Taller Buildings in the Future: "That's cute."
When talking about Sky Mile tower... "for a more American comparison; that's more than 18x the height of the Statue of Liberty." Ya know...like when I'm giving directions to my house... Turn left at the fork in the road then travel approx 18 statue of liberties. House is on the left...can't miss it.
My guess is that there are about 3-4 zeros missing on that space elevator price tag. If it were even 1 TRILLION, there would be more than enough interest today to start that project.
Yeah, only $10 billion? That's a rounding error on only the INTEREST the US will pay for their recent stimulus proposals. A space station/elevator would certainly be closer to $1 trillion in today's dollars. Triple that in future dollars by the time that thing got started. Perhaps in the 22nd century.
