- Family weigh day! Time to hit the scales again. People always comment on the weight of the dogs often mistaking malamutes for husky's and vice versa. They look bigger one day than the next and seasonally because of their coat. Don't get me wrong, they're heavy but they are heavy set dogs and the size of them lends to their proportions. They are all actually the weight they should ce for their breed atc. Phil though appears a lot heavier because of the way he's picked up, Shane should know this going to the gym! He's lost a lot of weight as he gets older and frailer, his cushings has a big part to play too and has caused muscle wastage on his back end. Poor Phil, he still loves a good cuddle. All teh dogs get jealous when another gets picked up, they want their turn. below the weights written down for ease.

Teddy's head hanging over Shane's back was a hilarious sight. I imagine all the animals are wondering what this recurring but not daily ritual is about. By the way, this proves a family can still have fun without being entertained by professionals or being attached to a video game. In fact, this channel proves that every day. Thank you.

So in US measurements:
Shane is 192 lbs. No time to lie about and munch Cheetos with two kids, three snow dogs, a Maine Coon and a castle with two Zorb balls, e-bikes and all the mowing and DIY maintenance and improvement projects.
Amelia is 32 lbs. Good growing, princess! ^5
Nathan is 17 lbs. Dude, I know part of your job in the first year of life is to gain weight, but - are you planning a career in Sumo wrestling? 🤣
Milo is 14 lbs. For a Maine Coon, you're just a ball of fluff, a dandelion. Maybe sneak a few of Nathan's snacks.
Teddy is 91 lbs. A real contender.
Phil is 97 lbs. The king and still champion of the annual weigh-in. Woof-woof!
Niko is 80 lbs. Well done, keeping your figure while keeping Teddy in line, Princess Niko.

After my 2 malamutes ( who just turned 2 yesterday) hit over 45kg (100lb) each, I had to stop weighing them the way Shane does. Too much for a herniated disc 😖. They both still think they are lapdogs though

Your family is so cute and we all love Phil to pieces. Didn’t realize he was quite bigger than the other 2. Reminds me of a wolf pack that was being studied once and they noticed that the omega was much larger that the alpha wolf but he used to crouch in a submissive posture so no one noticed.

Interesting difference between two counties separated by a common language. In the US we use pounds, almost never kilos, but almost never "stone". ;)

Your husband is so strong to pick up all three dogs who weight around 40 kg, he must be visiting the gym a lot, or actually who needs a gym when you have three live polar bears to pick up and weigh 🐻 ❤❤❤
Was surprised, our 2 mals were 47 and 52 kilo. The lighter one was a straight mal , the heavier an Alaskan. And we live on the Tropic of Capricorn so constantly grooming them to keep the fur/wool load down and feeding low fat diets. I expected Teddy to be heaviest.
Phil and Teddy are both alaskan malamutes. Phil lost most of his fur and recently weight loss due to medication and health issues. Phil's mass usually exceeds 50kg.
@@Rysdan9 I'm aware Phil is not a well boi. (He's not a young pup either.) I expected Teddy to both come out heaviest and at least equal to our 2 (sadly passed from age) Malamutes.
