❤️ this story.. made my heart smile. Yes girl our bodies can do amazing things🤗🤗. I was told in my pre-parenting classes that it all starts with the mind.. it is so powerful- you proved that waiting on Desmond! And that friend from out of state is a real one!!!

I had SEVERE hyperemesis. I literally couldn’t eat or drink anything without getting extremely ill. I was in the hospital for 95% of my pregnancy. I had feeding tube and pick lines, all were unsuccessful with regards to my treatment. It was so bad that the doctors were trying to convince me to abort my baby. They said my baby wasn’t thriving and I was severely malnourished. I’m naturally thin, but I was getting smaller every day. They ended up inducing my labor and my daughter was born a month early. Her first year of life was hard, but God saw different. My daughter is now a healthy 17 year old. I’m glad your children were born healthy. You should definitely talk about your journey. I’m sure it can help other women who are going through the same issues.

I also had severe hyperemesis, and was hospitalized quite a bit during my pregnancy. My daughter was born a micropreemie at 27 weeks. She is a healthy and thriving 11 yr old, who is gifted and extremely talented. I like to joke and say that she was done cooking early so she kicked her way out (placental abruption). She is all 🔥🔥🔥Lol!
Anyway…people would look at me like I was crazy when I would say that I couldn’t even keep down water. It was that bad.
I nearly died twice during her birth (bled out) and the day after (two much blood loss).
I think that in modern times we forget just how dangerous and life threatening childbirth actually is. Which…to me just highlights how extraordinary women and being a woman actually is. 💖

omg girl i cant believe u had to wait on hubby to get there...that mustve been SO stressful! id be freaking out...it really says a lot about yalls character though, being true to ur word and being there for the wedding! wow...also, u r so beautiful...what a beautiful family yall are. i also struggled with throwing up nonstop in my first pregnancy but my 2nd one was a breeze, thanks to that new medication (forgot the name, but it had a pregnant lady on it lol)
I AGREE with that about the character!! My sister was graduating from her master's program( doesn't compare to a wedding..still) and her hair stylist canceled on her the morning of (to drop her mom to the airport... uhm transportation services do exist lol)! Luckily she had two ceremonies she could attend and a sister that could do it for her last min. She was stressed out as it is doing student teaching in the pandemic etc... and all these shootings- but she is still marching into her classroom next month and I'm so proud!!! But that friend of their's is clutch!

I threw up until the 5th month of pregnancy. I remember feeling nf lifeless, having prenatal depression and not wanting to be alive because of feeling so sick. Difficult journey fr sure. But I'm oh so grateful for my beautiful daughter.
I have 2 boys who are 18 months apart and my youngest was born a few weeks after COVID hit our country. A bit of context, my husband and I live in South Africa in one of the biggest cities and all our family members and friends live in different provinces/states so we’re all alone in this city. Anyway, because COVID was still new, everything was on hard lockdown and no-one could travel outside their provinces. I went into labour and my husband was forced to stay with my then 18 months old son and I gave birth alone and he couldn’t even come into the hospital because they were doing everything to protect infants and didn’t allow visitors into the maternity ward. It was hard but we had absolutely no option but to do it that way.
That would of been so scary

Yes, please do a video on hypereremis gravidarum lasting the whole entire pregnancy. That happened to me with my two. It is very, very hard. Now I understand why Desmond vomited when you tricked him that you were pregnant again.😅

According to my mom and my grandma, who was there, she SHOT OUT and her doctor caught her in the crook of his arm like he had caught a football! My mom said that he looked at her and said…”You’re lucky that I played football in college!”
Apparently my grandma got mad at his joke and told him that wasn’t funny. Lol! But my mom thought it was. 😂

My Mom vomited, non-stop, for the last three months of her pregnancy with my middle Sister, & they put her on complete bed rest. They didn't have a name for it back then but I bet it was the same as what you had. She also became toxic at the very end of her pregnancy with me. It took her 2 months to regain her health & strength. Mom & Dad didn't have anyone to help them so they had to hire a nurse to take care of me while Mom was still on bed rest. Pregnancy can become very scary, very quickly. You have to really know your own body so you know if something is not going right.
All three of my Mom's births were fast. I'm the baby & I was the quickest. She went to the hospital a week before my due date with false labor & they sent her home. My Dad was downstairs, at a neighbor's house playing cards. My Mom went to the bathroom thinking she had to have a BM & the minute she sat down, my head & shoulder popped out. She called to my big Sister to go get my Dad. They drove to the hospital & when they got there an orderly wanted my Mom to get on a stretcher. Mom said, "I can't because she is going to come all the way out if I do." He didn't believe her at first but when he helped her get on the stretcher he gasped, because sure enough, there was my head & shoulder hanging out of Mom. They took Mom up to the birthing area & boom, I slipped right out. Thankfully, she did wait until getting to the hospital because they didn't realize she had become toxic with me, & my lungs were filled with fluid. They had to suction out my lungs, & put me on antibiotics, & I was in a pup tent, with oxygen, for 2 weeks. That was almost 65 years ago. I was born a full-term, 4 lb, 9-1/2 oz, 22" long baby. By 13 years old, I was 5'11" tall & weighed 135 lbs.
I had a workmate who had a similar situation with her son, & she was terrified she would lose him. When she told me about him, I stood up from my desk, give her my birth stats, & said, "Don't worry, he's gonna be just fine." It was the first time she smiled with joy & relief after giving birth to her beautiful son.
Wow! What a birth story! I had severe HG with all 4 of my pregnancies also 😥. It definitely doesn’t get talked about enough that’s why I share on my motherhood/doula channel as well 🙏🏿! I really enjoyed this video 😊! Thanks for sharing ❤!

I drove to the hospital when my labor started. My husband and son were asleep in my son’s bedroom, I open the door and I didn’t wanted to wake them up. I don’t know how but I didn’t had any contractions on my way to the hospital, but, as soon as I got my room assigned I had one. I texted my husband when I was done. That was almost 5 years ago in December, haha we just turned 30 😁

I also had constant throwing up. When I tell you constant, I mean it. Every 5 minutes or more, morning, noon, and night throwing up. I was already 93 lbs which I lost weight bc of the vomiting. I dealt with that until I was 5 and a half months pregnant and I took anti vomiting pills the entire time. I also had pitocin and pushed my son out in 23 minutes. I was not playing. Lol

I know this is an older vid but new didn't know you had a channel thou it was just shorts. Your friend is a good ass friend for sure. And about having your 2nd sounds like mine. I almost had him in the ems n they didn't know how to deliver a baby lol so they told me to hold on I said ya coz that's so easy 😂 well I did we get to the hospital bout 25 min away we get there and my hubby was giving all my info as they was talking me uo to a room well soon as he come in the Dr put 1 glove on and my son was in his hands no pain meds nothing all natural didn't even have time to hook me up to the monitors or anything, he was 9lbs 1oz, It was crazy painful. My daughter omg they induced and I didn't have the epidural I only had meds threw iv and wheeew that pitocion makes it soooo much worse. She was 5lbs4oz she wasnt growing even thou I was she was showing 33 weeks at 38 so they had me go the next day after my check up... 💙💜💪🙏 Love hearing your story times..
