How about not allow them to live in areas with others who don’t offend. Called camps and keep them away
they need to reform Sex offender legislation first. A lot of people in that registry aren't even predators nor pose a risk to children. The government get kudos and election votes from the community by padding the registry numbers. Most people on that registry already had their lives ruined for more than likely something stupid and wanna be left alone. Sex offender have the lowest reoffending rate of any criminal offense in the nation. Mainly due to the fact that most being labeled Sex offenders are indeed not actual sex offenders with attraction to children and that's a fact. You'd just be punishing working class citizens who paid their time and just want to salvage whatever life they have left and much as they can. They just wanna be left alone. I'm a probation officer and i deal with these individuals every day. Speaking from experience

And so the risk of having people whom are now, at this very moment, currently living outside of the jail and prison system, maybe on parole, probation, or maybe neither, who are maybe registered in compliance or not, who are not maybe but DEFINITELY mostly living in neighborhoods with children and teenagers even if they are in compliance and living more than a certain radius from schools, if you view the local interactive sex offender mapping tools you would see how many of them there are in EVERY single neighborhood pretty much - from trailer park, to multi-million dollar, mansion-filled, gated-neighborhood, to senior citizen villages, to downtown lofts and condos, to suburban ranch homes and middle class HOA subdivisions - they are EVERYWHERE, and Florida, in every factual piece of evidence, has more of them than any other state per capita, for a few handfuls of reasons. And so the urgent push for the community to be made even MORE aware of the danger posed by children and young people, who on this holiday are known to everyone in the world to walk around and approach/go to the residences of complete strangers for a fun, youthful, harmless experience of nostalgia, is made infinitely more dangerous because, CONTRARY TO YOUR STATEMENT, this group of convicted criminals is known to basically EVERYONE on the planet to have amongst the absolute HIGHEST rate of recidivism, re-offense, and non-compliance, and so being a holiday where not only do kids approach strangers in the dark of night at the strangers homes, but also anyone can wear a costume and make themselves basically hidden, altered, or difficult to identity & track. IT IS A REAL THREAT! Shame they don't enforce it. I check the list every year and every house around I find is giving out candy anyway. Some houses have the Sexual Predator signs put in their yards but take them down after law enforcement leaves. No punishment for that. Marion County is FULL of them too, some probably wearing badges.
Call and report them! Put your own signs up in front of their home. I've done this in my city too, so I understand your frustration.

Thing is, that sign would be on all the Catholic church priest rectories!

They either need to be incarcerated or in some kind of halfway house were they can be monitored and kept track of especially if they're on parole. Letting them out to camp in a tent by the railroad tracks is negligent.
