Hi there, I own a 2001 Polar caravan, fitted with a Primus heating system almost the same like this one. The pump is making a lot of noise at times, so I need ideas where I can find an affordable replacement, and especially how to replace it.
If that’s not easy to do then who wants a system like that. Ive been looking for a truly simple but effective heater for decades and still haven’t found one. Almost ready to go back to a wood stove. The Alde replacement control board is $600 so don’t fall for this scam!!

We have a Bailey Autograph 745 Reg Nov 2014, It keeps on loosing the Heating Fluid and floods the compartment where the Heating unit is, floor and Carpets get covered in the blue liquid and has damaged the wood. Our supplier has had it 3times but cannot find the fault, can anyone help?
Firstly the fluid should be pink not blue! The blue was the old 2 year life anti freeze which should of been changed in 2016 to the later G13 which is pink.
Theres obviously a leak and if your dealer cant find it contact Alde and request they advise the whereabouts of someone more efficient.

Good luck. Looks good but how reliable are these complicated heaters?. A replacement control board is $600! If they can make them as reliable as my power inverters then I might get interested. Ive built about 25 solar energy system and only had one inverter failure and that was due to heavy rain splashing into it. My bad!! A expensive lesson that was $850 to repair.
Look around.. Lots of satisfied customers and technicians. Developed and made in Sweden, and used by demanding customers above the polar circle.
If you look at old systems with manual adjustments.. old school tech which lasts 20+ years... This new and fancy technology looks nice now, but how long you think phones and this app will function... 2 years maybe..then what ?
Dont worry too much about it. To make it work with the phone app you need to install a sim card, (to transmit/receive instruction and what its done with it) to the £400 module which us an extra and needs installation. I dont think theyre selling well!
Yes, I was excited by this heater at first but am rapidly losing interest. Reminds me of the hot tub jacuzzi my step daughter insisted on buying that required a new $650 control board. Then no one used the jacuzzi after a year or two anyway. It’s a rotting hulk now. I’m going to try again to build my own simple hydronic heater. Ive tried twice and had some success but was too distracted.
does the alde system only work on gas or does work with electricity as well?
Run on both.
