Most of the parts used to build this rolling cabinet are listed below. I used 3/4" EMT and water proof connectors to run between breaker panel and outlets. This was overkill and non-waterproof connectors would work just fine. 6 AWG wire between inverter and breaker panel.

I'd love a video or short taking about wire gauge capacity with regard to length and current. Mainly regarding power stations or smaller solar systems.

    Nice set up Mr Beene!

And also if not unable to use ac input for ground do u ground the case to the house grounding rod or to the side of the breaker box and from there to a grounding rod it's a lot to this I'm trying to figure out lol

Soooooo uhhhhh… you should be able to charge your phone once or twice?

  • @diysolaradventures7894

So because my ac output on my inverter is only two terminals Line & Neutral don't use a ground on neutral type breaker box or sub panel box or that don't matter I'm trying to figure out which types of breaker box I should buy for this inverter..

I have one of this inverter just hook it up all my appliances humming. Denon receiver outlaw amplifier humming even when they turned off. Everything wired and ground as suggested. Appliances don’t hum when connected to house electricity only when connected to this inverter. Any idea what’s going on?

Your voice is like background noise for the jumbled up wire in my brain... one day I'll return with a full comprehension and working system... mark my words!

  • @mickwolf1077

I was looking at one of those inverters but chose a growatt. I wonder if your pv input current limit is an actual limit or just what the inverter can use. The renogy rover li 60a mppt i use can have extra current going in and it'll clip excess and use the max to get 60a output, great for cloudy days.

On a string of panels at or near 450vdc going to a growatt 5000es. would you ground the array and mount to ground rod? Also fuse/breaker the positive and negative pv wires or just the positive to isolate the rest of the system from lightning or an electrical short in the array? Inline fuses or breakers?

I have the same inverter the lights have gone out. I think there’s an orange and a green one. Is there anyway I can turn it back on without disconnecting anything is there a fuse box? We had a cold winter in everything shut down

Nice! Starting to dabble in the High voltage! I'm the guy with the 500 volt battery. It's been a journey...

I'm looking at an inverter I'm thinking about buying it's a 230-40v inverter my concern is on the ac 230v output it only has 2 terminals line and neutral there's no ground the input terminal have 3 lines ground neutral & line is this inverter ok to buy ? With only a 2 line output??

DAMN dude! That’s a sweet setup. Could I put a trailer tongue on it so I could tow it behind my camper rig? ;)

With the PV current input limitation, is it OK to have a greater amount of current come in through the PV (oversize PV) and the unit just clips or is it a hard limit that shouldn't be exceeded?

Love your videos. How about showing the output capacity. Put maximum load on units.

Great video, I have watched this video over ten times and I've always learned something new. I'm planning to put one of these together but with an EG4 6000EX-48HV all-in-one inverter and 2 EG4 Lithium Iron Phosphate battery 51.2V (48V) 5.12kWh with 100AH internal BMS. How feasible is a setup like that or is it just a crazy idea? Thank you!!!
