Born in the mid-80's.
Kid in the 90's.
I did not realize how many Hannah-Barbera cartoons I watched as the logo evolved!
the swirling star is my favorite and the most nostalgic one for me!
I love the star. 🌟 I loved seeing after my cartoons. It made me so happy to see the star. 🌟 it brought color to my life. 🌈
It’s my favorite too! Because all the good cartoons came after that star
I use to be scared of the swirling star because when I was watching tv at night at the end that sound got stuck on the head and I was scared to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night
@@axelbeltran9317 yeah when I watched Powerpuff Girls after the credits the swirling star and zoom Cartoon Network from 1998 it used to freak me out
It's amazing to remember that the OG Powerpuff Girls had one of the last versions of the swirling star logos before the removal of it for the CN/Cartoon Cartoon logo.
43:07 That sound transition between the Swirling Star logo to the Comedy All Stars logo
The Swirling Star was the most memorable but also the scariest lol.
32:37 higher pitched I love it well!
40:51 is where my childhood began
That's very nostalgic for me and pretty much the only logo I remembered from my childhood. I still remember the days of Teletoon retro
the swirling star and the one with the iconic HB sound effects and characters hit the spot for me 😌
I love how Family Guy concluded the outros of the Jetsons and Flintstones, by having cutaways of George and Fred being angry at Jane and Wilma for not hearing their "Jane, stop this crazy thing!" and "WILMA!!"
The Star in circles is addictive 😆
Didn’t realize H&B still exist, the swirling Star and the various Cartoon Network logos are what I had as a child.
It doesn’t exist, it’s just a new logo for any Hanna-Barbera related release. It’s still animated under WB animation

46:38 Welcome Back, Hanna-Barbera!
@@erroredxdstudios_offical It goes by other names, including "Welcome Back, Hanna-Barbera"
45:37 I remember when they aired "Meet the Reaper" on Cartoon Planet in 2012, they aired the end credits, which had, up to that point, never been aired, as it had been aired as part of "Grim & Evil" and later "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy", and therefore had the end credits of those series. When I saw this logo pop up, it was eye-opening, and I immediately went to the Billy & Mandy Wiki to add this information.
As I would later learn, the pilot was actually the final (new) production to bear the Hanna-Barbera name.
No ones gonna talk about 13:16 where the HB Box logo has the Screen Gems S From Heck shortened theme?
The orange/blue logo and the swirling star were my favorites! The Nostalgia!
7th, 14th, and 15th logo are personally my favorite. 7th because the swirling star just hits right for older cartoons given the sound is just the right kind of dated. But the 14th and 15th logos are what I like more due to the fact that both perfectly encapsulate the line up of cartoons they've created since the 50s, with the 15th being a perfect representation of the new cartoons at the time.
My favorite part of closing of every single cartoon classics in the Hanna Barbara is everything. Includes the characters the swirling star and that's all. I love the Hanna Barbara classic cartoons because I can watch them every day.
25:25 i loved warp speed logo
All 2000s babies grew with all the logos from 35:45 and onward 💯💯
And as of right now, Hanna-Barbera is back. Thanks to the news that we just heard. Hanna-Barbera has returned as Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. Let’s hope if things get better than the past ones.
Really? Good news then, I wonder if they can continue the style they had going during the 90's with Swat Kats, the revival of Secret Squirrel or The Powerpuff Girls.
That swirling star is my entire childhood in a logo i was born in 2000 but i grew up watching boomerang which is basically every hannah barbera cartoon and i also watched spiderman tas and fantastic four tas in jetix at night in dish network and i still remember that star from old scooby doo movies and scooby doo shows and it just bring a whole lot of childhood memories hannah barbera has the best cartoons in this world
The swirling star was one of the best logos created. Next to that would be the accordion rainbow HB logo. The Jetson's doorbell swirl star is another fave. Logos today are just not as awesome as they once were. A really good example is the Lorimar writing that had that elegant electric piano playing (this was used after Dallas in the late 1970s).
One of my all time favorite logos was the ITC logo. Three elongated diamonds (red green and blue) spun with a great fanfare, and would always let me know it was time for The Muppet Show (yaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee).
I remember the ITC logo from TTD 90 with either Larry Van Nuys or Art James-"This is Larry Van Nuys/Art James. Tic Tac Dough is a Jack Barry & Dan Enright Production, (and is) distributed by ITC!"
13:16 Screen Gems
39:04 - 39:23 YOU FAILED

*for those who did not understand this this one soon tried to stay in the correct position just like the opening but it was in an incorrect position and the sound effect shows this but when it was in the correct position the sound effect changed to something that seems to be a celebration*
*33:25** never seen the low tone version of the logo*
This makes me miss going to Kings Island in the 90s when it was still owned by Paramount. The kids section was all Hanna-Barbera themed and I think they would show the cartoons on TVs while waiting in line for the rides. Great times!
@@JontyMaster Hi,
Can you please send me the link of the Popeye's Treasure Hunt Cliff Hanger Episode that was produced by Hanna Barbera if it's in good quality?
Let me know!
Do you remember when Universal Studios Florida had the Hanna-Barbera ride?
At 27:48, some theme the Linn LM-1 and Oberheim DMX were heard in.
Dang. Who knew, the Hanna-Barbera logo still lives since it's launch in the year 1944. When I was originally born in the year 1998, I saw the logo of Hanna-Barbera variant in the year 1994 right before Turner logo at the ending episodes of Scooby-Doo, Where are You! : )
Now I got to know why richie rich, the tom and jerry show, tom and jerry kids, scooby doo, thunder cats swat cats etc. had the same animation and artstyle. It was because of these guys. My whole childhood had been spent by watching their cartoons back in 2005-2015 on cartoon network.
And the winner is… (Drum roll, please)… The Swirling Star from 1979!
The swirling star was my nostalgia favorites

Ah yes, when boomerang was actually good.
And not a Cartoon Network literal clone.
Boomerang since december 1992 until 2000 was a programming block on cartoon network. And then in 2000, it made its own channel.
@@Beancito_Horroroso Boomerang is still a channel. Unfortunately it's not as good as it used to be.
At first, Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse, as for Warner Bros., they created Bugs Bunny, and then for Hanna-Barbera, they created Yogi Bear and its series, as well as some of the characters I grew up and loved.
Sure they got Disney World for Disney, and then the Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, and lots of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park campgrounds in the US for Hanna-Barbera, although there are some located in Georgia and in Alabama.
William Hanna and Joseph Barbera were like the Walt Disney of cartoon animations.
I loved the swirling star back in my 90s days
Glad you enjoyed this. I'm also a huge fan of the swirling star. It is truly a classic.

I'm surprised how different all of these logos are. Some are graphic, some are cartoon-heavy, the swirling star, the signature-like logo, the music, the sound effects, focusing on the characters or being more generic, it seems like this logo is always changing.
Hanna-Barbera actually came back
Today
I can appreciate the comprehensiveness.

Swirling star logo will always be legendary
Hanna-Barbera Productions was founded in 1957, not 1944 (which is when their predecessor called the MGM Cartoon Studio was in business, the MGM Cartoon Studio being the animation studio that made Tom and Jerry). That means the time line is 1957-2001, 2017-present or 2022 (which the one used in The Jetsons and WWE: Robo-Wrestlemania! & the Wacky Races reboot was also used in Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs and hopefully Bedrock).
