MADRID MARATHON 2022 HITTING THE WALL

In this episode of The Wu I'm in Spain to run the Zurich Rock ‘n’ Roll Madrid Marathon 2022 trying to help my brother with pacing to complete his first ever marathon. It was a roller coaster of a run that unfortunately ended by hitting the dreaded wall.

Just started running. Finished a 10K race last week. Up to the next one in 2 weeks. But A Marathon in about a year or two, is definitely on my list.

I think his biggest problem might have been you (in a nice way). I was running with my Dad, and the pressure to keep up when i felt so sore put me in such a bad mental spot for it. Especially cause i felt so bad and he seemed to be alright. I had hurt my thigh a few weeks before the run and it wasnt a good first couple of miles. I let him go ahead for like 4 miles and then my attitude switched when i was alone and i managed to catch up to run the last 4 miles with him. It was great, but i needed that time alone.
