Yeah, all of their wishes were poorly thought out. Bart should have said rich, famous AND loved. Lisa should have asked for peace, security, and prosperity to the world. Homer tried his best, but again, he failed to elaborate the right way. Maggie and Flanders got it properly. Simple and effective.
The Simpsons was pretty smart like that, and as a viewer and a fan of the show, I am therefore smart because I understand it. Much like when I understand the jokes on Rick & morty and the anti-jokes from Mitch hederberg.
