    In 1970s I had a friend from Nablus, he made his own Kunafa at home, even the cheese. In dark winter evenings I would be enchanted to hear his stories of how he grew up, we would eat his Kunafa and drink arab style coffee. He was an old man and I was in my 20s. I often wonder what happened to him if he ever went home. His name was Dr Baldawi Tammam (I may have spelt it incorrectly).

    You have to go to Nablus, there's no substitute. The cheese has to come from the local sheep who graze on regional grass, to impart its unique flavor. It has to be their water. It has to be their copper toaster. It has to be their dough recipe. Everything, everything, everything has to be authentic. No imitation comes close, not in the culturally-appropriated Isræli bakeries and not in any Jerusalem shop. Nablus, or nothing.

      Palestinians are not just arab. Before the islamic conquest we were Christian and Jew.. even before Christian we have Jewish and canaanites. We've been conquerd many times but the people always remain the same.. Palestinians have more semitic blood then any European Israeli..Israel is illigal and Palestine is under a brutal miltary occupation..you can't call for peace when one is persecuting the other. Peace and occupation is like oil and water they do not mix

    • @interestingyoutubechannel1
      @interestingyoutubechannel1 Před 2 lety

      @@mahmoude9131 so... you're response is 'no peace' and 'more semitic blood than European Israeli'. You're a racist, and encouraging violence. Typical palestine nationalist.
      By the way, vast majority of Israelis have middle-eastern roots, after ethnic cleansing happened in every Arab country, where no more Jews remain. Also every DNA test of Jews that fled from Europe (Ashkenazi Jews) results with identical Levantine DNA to Druze, Lebanese etc. Yes also including Palestinian Arabs who have native roots.
      Lastly, no. *Some* Palestinian Arabs have native roots, *many* of them arrived with the Islamic caliphate conquest, and *many* actually arrived in 19th-20th century from other Arab lands e.g. large population of family names such al Masri, al Kuwaiti, al Baghdadi etc. Even Arafat is Egyptian.
      You say no to peace, keep doing that and nothing will improve for you, because Israelis will never allow your nationalist extremists to continue their wave of terror and violence on civilian Jews.

Israel is only 70 years old and is persecuting another and occupying their lands and stealing their lands an history since they were created in 1967..dam right there will be no peace..that makes no sense whatsoever. how can you can you say I hope there will be peace while you have a Palestinians In chains? Makes no sense and will never make sense In history.. maybe it makes sense to your colonist mindset where you think its okay to steal brown people's lands and occupy them and break over 67 international laws and live a happy life..but not to human beings it makes no sense. • @interestingyoutubechannel1

      @@mahmoude9131 "brown people" lol hilarious, I'm starting to suspect you're not a local at all. Palestinian Arabs and Jews (yes including "European" Jews) look *identical* . None of us can tell who is who, until the person starts speaking. Some Arabs & Jews are "brown", some are "white". Just look at the rest of the Levantine peoples, Lebanese, Syrians, they look identical to us Jews too. Arameans, Druze...
      anyway, you're evidently set on encouraging hate and violence, I'm not surprised, all you palestine nationalist extremists are the same. "in chains" - what about the *apartheid* in Palestinian Authority territories where it's officially Jew-free zones, not allowed to enter. What about our people's constant alert of terror attacks, what about every Israeli's DAILY experience of security checkpoints scanning us for bombs at entry to every single public center, whether a mall, a cinema, a school, we get scanned for bombs. That is because of violence-promoting racists like you.
