Even to this day Emma frost powers still amazes me like I don’t really under stand her power I’m still confused I know she has some sort of telekinesis/telepath but hers works differently than Jean Grey
It depends on how high Emma's mutant power levels are.
She has the same powers as Jean grey and Charles Xavier the main difference is that diamond form ability in that form she has enhanced strength durability and her mind cannot be accessed by other telepaths while in it. But her telepathy works the same as Charles or jeans.
She has telepathy on an equal level to Xavier. Writers have stated that Jean has more raw power than both Emma and Xavier, but Emma and Xavier have more finesse/precision than Jean. Emma has controlled hundreds of people at once, altered the memories of an entire city, and has communicated telepathically between Earth and Mars. She can produce blasts of pure psychic energy that can stun, drop someone into a coma, or even just kill them outright. She's extremely powerful, among the top telepaths for sure.
Also, whereas Jean has telekinesis as her second power, Emma has her diamond form, which is very different. The form grants her super strength, durability, stamina, immunity to psychic attacks. It also makes her unable to feel emotion, physical pain, makes her not need food, water, and makes her stop aging. She doesn't have strength compared to Colossus or the Hulk or anything like that. She's weaker than them, but she has more durability than Colossus. She has taken multiple hits from the Hulk without a scratch on her and has taken a combined blast from Gambit, Jubilee, Boom Boom, and Dazzler without a scratch as well.
The drawback is that she can't use her powers at the same time. She can either be a psychic powerhouse or a diamond tank. But she can't use her telepathy in her diamond form.

Emma Frost has Telepathy, Empathy, and an organic diamond form. She's also has telekinetic potential. Telepathy allows her to have control over her own and others mental state. Empathy allows her to feel, change, and take on others emotions. And in her organic diamond form... she doesn't need to eat, sleep, nor breath in it... she has enhanced strength, durability and almost everything... She's basically living but not livinv at the same time. Telepathy also cannot be used on her while she's in her diamond form... side effects on her diamond form is that she can't use her own telepathy and she feels no emotions.
Side note... she doesn't have a selective diamond form, the cuckoo's does but she doesn't, she can only change her whole body into diamond so idk why they gave her selective. BUT her telepathy is much stronger than the cuckoo's.
Emma Frost & Storm are both two female characters in the MCU that could really, REALLY use an origin story… or at least a deeper plot in the current MCU. They have so much important history with the entire trajectory of the X-men and avengers. Storm was the perfect way for them to introduce the X-men into the MCU using the black panther movies. She once ruled wakanda by herself & was married to tchalla as queen of wakanda.

Yeah, that was a plot issue. She should have sensed Moira with ease when Moira was first infiltrating the Hellfire Club.
@@seraphimrosenhart173 one of the biggest plot issue was how she could crack in diamond form with just metal. It’s like she’s made of glass instead of diamond. In diamond form she also can overpower both Xavier & Max easily. Too many plot holes for Emma in this case

Diamonds are the hardest material on earth. How could a metal pipe do any harm to her? Magneto could put a tank on her and she still survive. Great character in X-Men.
It was for dramatic effect… it’s an essential element in movie making, especially action films. :)
It's not about the metal pipe per say. But rather the pressure that metal pipe is compressed with.
If diamond faces enough pressure, it will crack.

Her scenes from when she's in her diamond form or using her mind powers in every scene, except the illusion of her sexy, are the best.
The actress did well in portraying Emma Frost. The problem was her role. Emma was always the mastermind, she wasn't someone who takes order or follow someone's lead. For me, manipulation is her greatest skill. There's also fashion and always looking magnificent. She always has the best outfits hahaha.

And also I don't remember exactly who asked a question but they did, what they asked was about her Risqué Outfuts and she replied her powers alone make her very strong and gives her an advantage and her powers on par with her looks make her a powerhouse and whenever she puts on that breastplate and Short skirt it's like she dawns battle Armour before going to war

Nobody's asking her to be OP, they're asking her to be smart. By the time she awakens her Diamond form, her telepathy and intellect would be stupid high.
She was also the wrong character. Emma Frost doesn't want to take over the world, she wants to teach and protect her Students. It was such a bad characterization of one of the most important Mutant characters since the introduction of Storm, Wolverine and so on.

It looks and feels like diamond at first glance, but it's been described as an organic diamond-like substance multie times in the comics, and shr is far, far more durable than an actual diamond would be. The movies weakened her a ton.

She's taken massive explosions and powerful blasts. So no, according to the actual comics, she is not brittle. Her Marvel wiki page covers that too.
Woulda been cool if they stuck to the comics and made Emma turn into a good guy by having her read the mind of Magneto or whomever and turning good after experiencing their suffering and what not
This portrayal of frost was a quintessential 1960s woman....sort of like the character she (jones) played in "mad men." This isn't the haughty, snarky version of frost we see today. Also...how was Charles and Erik able to manhandle her inside the Russian general's bedroom? When she turns to diamond her strength increases....remember she one shotted magneto off the deck of the boat, in diamond form, when he tried to kill shaw with that knife?

But they ruined her diamond form she can actually lift 2 tons but can't lift two grown fit men. I just hope they just let used ERIK to used the wires to tie her. And force her to go back to her human form.
Ummm in the comics, in diamond form she took on Iron Man and knocked out Thor. They nerfed her down big time in the movie.

@@cnarhatrnaz3561 she was killed by trask, or someone working for him, while being studied. It was in a couple of scenes which were a really bad way to just disregard a bunch of mutants. The time in between movies was a mistake, and they didn't have to show every mutant, but some of them should have been shown doing something, given that last scene with magneto and co.

I never really considered this before now but during the scene that Charles and Eric confront her, wouldn’t it have made sense for Emma to use her telepathy to influence Eric’s actions and cause him to target Charles? Even if Charles could have countered her abilities, it still would have served as enough of a distraction for her to escape, or AT LEAST get a head start.
The fact Emma was the more skilled Telepath during this time and could've disrupted them both

Even then it made no sense for them to even be able to grab Emma and push her back like that. In her diamond form she weighs almost 500 pounds, is virtually indestructible, and has immense strength. They shouldn’t have been able to corner her like that, yet the plot will plot.

It's amazing what directors can get out of certain actors/actresses, and when others can't. Matt Weiner was able to make January Jones fantastic as Betty Draper. But it seemed like in this movie she phoned it in, probably because she may not have had the natural ability to really step 'into' the role of a mutant to feel the character, and didn't really get guidance on how to do it. It's pretty much why we never saw the character again. If you pull up the scene in Mad Men where Betty confronts Don on his real identity, you'd be shocked that she was this bad in this movie.
I will never understand for the life of me why people criticized her performance. She was by far one of the hightlights of the movie

I remember being dissapointed they under utilised her in this film. And January Jones was actually a good actress and voice for the role if they had given her good characterisation. The best screen version is still "Wolverine and the X-Men". That really showed a lot of the different aspects of her character. Her relationship with Scott and Shaw was really well portrayed in that show.

Of my favorite X-Men characters/Marvel Comic Book Characters along with Cable, Bishop Stryfe, Omega Red, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Storm, Wolverine, Jean, Gambit, Rogue and etc.
To bad they reduced their power in the movies compared in the comics, with handful of characters who were not given enough screen time in the movies to show more character development and the full extent of their powers.
At least I am glad a few characters where given a little screen time in a live action comic book movie a long with introducing casual fans a X-Men character they never seen or heard of.

Biggest flaw in this movie was Emma's diamond throat being squeezed by an aluminum bedframe.
The biggest flaw was that Charles and Erik were able to grab her and pull her back to the bed frame. While in Diamond form, Emma is supposed to have nearly superhuman strength so she should easily overpowered them (physically)

I am just spitballing here but I would say there's nothing saying aluminum couldn't do that. After all, the metal is just his way of "touching" things, and he's only trying to squeeze the diamond. However, I guess it's possible that exerting that kind of pressure on aluminum would just heat it up and melt it, worst case. I think it's possible since he wasn't trying to cut the diamond, just smoosh it.
