As a disabled person, I see the umbrella hat as pretty useful. It is hard to hold a traditional umbrella and use a walker or a manual wheelchair. In a place where we tend to see more rain than sunshine I will probably be purchasing this for the future.

I can see the use in the sun for your situation, but I use a wheelchair also and have never found anything that helps in the rain. This device would simply funnel the rain on to the legs. A friend one devised an umbrella that was attached to the chair (large sized) and it might have worked if the wind had not caught under it and flipped me out of the chair. It was at least entertaining for all of us, but decidedly not useful. Basically, I have just gotten used to being wet since 1983!

The umbrella-hat in the video looks like it has air vents close to the top, so that the wind blows through the vents, instead of turning it inside-out. It sounds like the one your friend designed needed air vents. Maybe the umbrella-hat could be improved with some sort of gutter attachment around the bottom, that would siphon the water to the rear, and keep the user drier.

It seems the most logical design though they'd have to work harder to make sure visibility through the plastic isn't compromised.
EDIT: There's a ton of really nice sun/rain canopies for mobility scooters and a couple for powered wheelchairs but the rain covers I see are crappily designed without a frame for some reason. It shouldn't be that hard to have detachable struts from the back of the chair or handles that the canopy attaches to! Even this one www.specialneedspushchairs.co.uk/trotter-accessories/ is a special needs pushchair for children- why the hell can't they make one for adults? I only have to fumble with my walking stick and an umbrella but I'm kind of mad on your behalf.

Two plusses for the self-stirring mug: (1) if your drink is too hot, you can hit the stir button instead of having to blow on it; and (2) if you have chunks of hot chocolate mix that keep sinking to the bottom, again just hit the stir button occasionally to keep from getting a thick layer of chocolate on the bottom.

I had 2 of them. I used them at work for coffee because the stir works better than those cheap stir straws. Both broke on me, the first time was my fault because I left it out on my desk over night and the coffee and creamer gunked it up. The second one I would clean it by putting dish soap and hot water. But the problem is the liquid in the cups gets to the motor and kills it. If they made a high dollar version that didn't break by gunking up or by liquid getting into the motor I would buy it.

Just playing devils advocate a bit here in defense of the burrito pop up. To me it’s clearly designed for the major, and most popular, burrito chains like Chipotle, or Pancheros. Whose burritos are very short, fat, and filled to the brim with ingredients and sauces. It doesn’t matter how much tin foil they wrap it in if you’re driving it WILL get on you. So having the tin foil to keep it warm and a container to store it, make it easier to eat while driving, and hopefully improving the cleanliness I’m 100% on board. Maybe at a lower price like $20ish would be a more fair price but I’d definitely consider the purchase. Thank you for showing this to me, love the content as always man!

I died laughing over the umbrella hat but love the stirring mug! I’d give the burrito gadget a 3 in useful though! Excellent reviews you are the best!

I have been using the reader rest for years and love it. Glasses will not fall off and convenient for those with readers. Great gadget.

I have to say the umbrella hat is very useful & not dumb at all. I personally love them.

Just hold the outside tip of the umbrella hat with one hand, and pull the sting with the other hand fully. It'll lock in place. Very simple and easy.

The only thing with the snap glasses is I’d worry about scratching the lens

I have used these umbrella hats for over 20 years. They work great when you are walking to your car with two bags of shopping. I always take one when I am overseas in places like Thailand, prefect for heavy rain. Only disadvantage is when a stiff wind is blowing.

I would really like the slap glasses for river trips actually. they would probably survive pretty well in water and I bet they'd stay slapped on my wrist while swimming.

It sure is useful when you are doing an activity where you can't simply tuck your glasses away on your shirt or put it somewhere safe

Yeah and not to mention you can find them for like $10 online so if they do fall off while you’re on the rivers it’s not like you’re out a $100+ pair of Ray Bans either.

I had an umbrella rainbow hat all thru the 70’s and 80’s. Just loved it!! Great for gardening or walking in the sun! I have the magnet for glasses but I’m a quilter and hang my scissors from it!

The burrito pop can be used to store a burrito/burritos when hungry when traveling or jogging. Maybe camping. Maybe it is less used for not being messy. More for storage

20:15 I have the exact one, from personal experience it is really good. You can use it for coffee and such, plus those instant soups that need stirring to get fully made, this is perfect.

I think the self stirring mug would be great for hot chocolate as you can keep it mixed until you are finished drinking and wouldn't have to bother with a spoon.
