Absolutely right, that is WILD!!! Almost every Black Mamba I've seen is like a Taipan on Acid, just loosing it's marbles. That snake could have ended Dingo in a heartbeat if it wanted to, Mambas just don't get that calm. Truly a 1 in a Billion encounter.

That is either a Sick Mamba or Very Old Mamba!! It's very Calm and Dormant!!!!!
Pretty sure that they grow for as long as they live and this little guy is only about half as long as they can get. So, not an old snake. Looks like a very healthy specimen too. I've seen another guy on CZcams getting even tighter with a very calm wild mamba, petting it on the head and stuff. They are this docile sometimes.

I'm a very spiritual individual and I read the Bible daily and I know that it promises that the day is coming when the fear of man will be taken away from animals and we will again live with them in peace. The scriptures promise it so therefore I believe it. Thank you for such a lovely demonstration. Please don't put your life in danger like that again

Professional herpetologist here. You can tell by the posture of the 1st third of the body and the way it displays it’s ventral scales, as well as the flaccid tail and scalation toward the rostrum. Lastly, the ashen gray and absence of labial folds around the lips. This snake is clearly drunk or hung over from partying with mongooses. This snake does not need a vet. It needs a Bloody Mary, stat.

I've loved venomous snakes for my entire life, but, even though it never happened with any other snake vid, before...you really made my anxiety soar, with all that tension from your free-handling the mamba that long! Almost like, when watching a video with a person doing handstands on top of a skyscraper, or someone on some mountaintop on a sh*tty little bmx or mountain bike traversin' the skinniest death-defying bike trail on the edge of the cliff side, just about to fall off and plummet to you know what the entire time... Anybody else have this happen watching this very lovely sweetheart of a black mamba interaction video?! LmMFaO! ;) :P :o)

I have stated many times to videos depicting the free handling of venomous snakes that they have individual personalities making each one an individual w/distinct chracteristics in their behaviour and You my Friend met an extremely docile Black Mamba.. If anyone deserves such an unusual encounter it is You Dingo. You earned it by your tireless efforts to help these animals .. Good on ya mate..

Dingo, that was absolutely amazing! I credit you and Chandler for helping me get over my fear of snakes. I still don’t want to own one, but I no longer fear them unnecessarily. I do respect them however.

Its sad you cant (well, shouldnt) just take home random snakes you find, cause imagine having such a chilled out mamba like that! I mean he could have been sick or something but...lets be honest thats never stopped them before. The most chilled out I remember one of his being was when it had a respiratory infection with puss oozing out, and it still tried to kill him a bunch of times

Whats dangerous about this is you can't control for all the randoms. A fly could cause your handling to be imperfect and thats it, you're tagged . Thats all it'd take.

That's a shockingly calm wild black mamba.

That has to be a "tame" mamba! True wild mambas would have either bitten you or gone into a sprint the moment you touched its tale. If this was just a wild one it is probably sick or maybe old.
