  • It’s been eight months since the start of the civil war in Sudan which has seen fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
    More than 12,000 people have died so far with many more injured.
    On Monday, the Rapid Support Forces said they had entered the major city of Wad Madani - an area that is home to 86,000 displaced people who had fled the violence in the capital, Khartoum.
    BBC News’s Analysis Editor Ros Atkins has looked into the latest developments of the conflict.

      It's hard to care about 32 wars at the same time. We all have lives and jobs we need to care about too. I think you can only specialize on a few at a time. I personally care more about Gaza (because of the long-term consequences), and the Congo (because of the political situation) than the others.

    My neighbour who was in the military, SANDF(South African National Defence Force) once showed me the videos he recorded of what was happening when he was in Sudan. He showed me that people killed where they were; were buried at those remote areas. This was maybe in 2007-2010 I think. It was the most heartbreaking thing I had ever seen. You die here they don't have time to inform the family; you are buried where you died. So they walked with shovels where they were and they don't dig 6 feet under but just to cover your body that's all. Every time I hear of Sudan I remember him, may he RiP, he passed away in 2021 February in his sleep; in his home. I hope Sudan finds peace, it has been years now.

    My family in sudan was living over there, in the midst of war in the "safety" of their homes, one night, my aunt texted my mother with news enough to give someone a heart attack, she sent us panicked voice messages, telling us "the sudanese forces are in our house!" they robbed them, beat my grandpa and uncle, took their things, and kidnapped my uncle. It has been a month already and we haven't heard anything from him, we don't even know if he is dead or alive. Please pray for us that he comes back and they show mercy to my poor, 19 year old uncle, who was like a brother to me for my whole life.

People wanting to be all high and mighty, well find out what charities are working there and donate, don't just pretend to be morally superior by shouting at other people doing nothing - act yourself, then. Do you want taxpayer money to go to Sudan? Ask your MP. Do you want to fight and die for a country that has been unstable for decades, join up and lobby for armed forces to go there. Forgotten war?
    Maybe not. Here is what a man who has died in 1662 at the age of 39 and two months has written.
    'Let us imagine a number of men in chains, and all condemned to death, some of whom are slaughtered every day in full view of the others, those who remain see their own condition in that of their fellow men, and, looking at each other with pain and without hope, wait in turn.'
    The bloody madness in Sudan today reminds the bloody atrocities in South Sudan a few years ago. And the bloody madness in the Tigray's region of Ethiopia says the same bloody story.
    As the molds that transform human beings into monsters are permanently on, other places are just waiting to have their fair share of bloody atrocities made by monsters in a world where a 60-year-old bloody and dynastic tyranny of Africa is the chief negotiator for countries of Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific in the framework of their cooperation with the civilized European Union.
    Evil and madness aren't what is forgotten in this world. But morality, goodness, mercy, the fear of God, I mean all the noble virtues are what is forgotten.
    Millions must be born to suffer and mock.

    • @DDAaghj
      @DDAaghj Před 5 měsíci

      We who know the whole story It would be better to quickly fix it or help delay it so that bad things don't happen. Do you agree? I think it's better than letting things get worse. Until the person who is still alive Live life at risk of danger from human hands.
      which I think remaining life Everyone should live their lives consciously and lead a normal, happy life. Because natural disasters are serious enough. Why would there be a deliberate shooting or increase in the number of deaths?...I don't understand. Why make things worse than this? We should live together without fighting/not hurting each other/You understand me, right?
