Why need crank the bar for tension reinforcement..better to provide bottom and top mesh..it will workout cantilever reinforcement as well as temperature reinforcement

Do you add development length to the ends of the main bars in cantiliver slab? If so, what is the recommended development length?
If we make columns at end of cantilever slab how to make edge of slab with cantilever ,reinforcement edge to support to columns weight
Confused. Main bar will not extend to cantilever and only crank bar make the mesh with distribution bar. Am I right ?

It should not exceed 1.2 m for non framed buildings

It's optional as long as you provide bent up bar and extra bar the tension is at the top not bottom
