A lot of comments suggesting hairspray. This is certainly a good option if you don't plan on removing your grips. It acts as an adhesive making the grips nearly impossible to remove which some folks might like. However, it usually means you have to cut the grips off to remove them. If you end up replacing your bars, you'll likely have to buy new grips as well. Something to keep in mind!

Not really you can slide a screwdriver in and spray penetrating oil in.

If you spray hair spray on a butterknife and then slide it between the grip and the bar and move it around you can slide the grips off pretty easily

I normally use hairspray. Goes on wet and dries sticky my grips never move.

If you hold your hand on the opposite end of the bar and make a seal then you can put it on and hit the end with your palm and it takes about 10 seconds

I use either the ziptie metod, alltough i put them the other way so the ends are outside, no need for amy pliers then :) or the if im at home i use hairspray to put them on 😎👍🏻

This works for bmx too!
Get some rubbing alcohol and fill up a spray bottle with it
Spray the area of the bars and slide the grips over it.
The alcohol will dry up like nothing happened

Deodorant is has lpg in it which helps dry the liquid quickly. It does not work with deodorant that is anti persprint. Aussies use this trick too

Rubbing alcohol is really good too. You can buy a spray bottle of it for literally a dollar and it works great just spray it on the bar and in the grip it’ll slide right on and dry in a matter of seconds.

I always use clear spray paint. It makes sliding the grip on easy and then the paint dries and hols he grip in place. To remove I slide a screwdriver in between the grip and bar and spray penetrating oil and rotate. The paint breaks lose and the grip slides off.

So I have a very heavy scooter. I have the Lucky EVO 520 pro with 25 tall by 24 wide bars and a 22 long by 5 wide deck. It’s heavy as all hell. How can I make this weigh a lot less without spending an insane amount of money? I’m broke lol.

You can do it with like almost any fluid like wd40 hand sanitizer or anything that’s gonna evaporate when after you slide the grips on just wait a minute to dry
