- One of my favorite moments on television in the 1980's was the very first cat-fight between Alexis (Joan Collins) and Krystle (Linda Evans) in 1982. "If you want a rematch, just whistle...If you can!" Trashy, but fun watching to attractive middle-aged women (at the time) trying to scratch each other's eyes out. A VERY guilty pleasure was this. And, really, that's the only other reason I watched this show with my mom (apart from the fact that Heather Locklear was on it, and I had a thing for her..still do..)
How the hell are you going to slap somebody and just casually walk away. These 80's shows are something else. Iconic.
It did start a trend. After Dynasty started doing all these cat fights, Dallas followed suit.

I've been trying to find the episode where Alexis goes to Mark Jennings room or apartment and Fallon is there. Mark was in the shower when Alexis snuck in wearing a strapless dress and gets in Mark's bed fronting like she's naked and waiting for Mark to come out of the shower. All done with the intention of splitting Mark and Fallon up. I may be going crazy, but I swear this episode happened in the 2nd or 3rd season. I'm trying to find it on CZcams!!

@@lmitchell477, it's not that, it was a different time where no CZcams didn't exist where people can rewind and scrutinize everything. Although, VCRs existed, most didn't use them to record TV programs. They actually watched things when they came on. Back then you can have a TV show and 70 million people are watching all at once. Also, screens where far from the face--no tablets or phablets back then--which would've made it difficult to tell it was a double.

They did, but most wouldn't be able to decern at the time they were stunt doubles as the TV would've been halfway across the room--unlike today where the screen is right-up in our faces. Also, no one was recording and pausing and watching over and over. Therefore, there was a different standard.

Linda Evans was in good shape for the catfight.
For every childhood cartoon, there's something that shakes your faith in believing that it was as good as you remember.
The lily pond fight a year later was the best, with this one a close runner-up - none of the other catfights (Alexis-Dominique, Claudia-Sammy Jo, Fallon-Sammy Jo, Amanda-Sammy Jo, Alexis-Sable, Krystle-Rita) measured up.
