The purple haze is absolutely one of my favorites on small streams! I fish it w/ a tenkara rod. Nice vid dude. Our top 5 list looks very similar.

I really liked this one. Down to earth approach much apprechiated! Would've loved to see you tie the hippie stomper and Parachute Adams as well but I guess there a few videos out there already. :)

Would you do a video on the simplest methods and flies to use? Really beginner friendly stuff?

Nice vid. I chase native Brookies here in the East with my 3wt. Caddis nymphs and Black Gnats are my go to's. I haven't got into tying yet but hope to one day.

Hey Tyler I am just getting into the stream game, and was wondering if maybe you could do a video on features in streams that fish tend to congregate more and what makes a productive stream or something like like that. Anyway definitely enjoyed this video keep it up.

Will do. Most of our small streams don't open until the end of May but I'll put something together at that time.

Do you have a link to that study on feeding behavior? I'd love to read further on that topic

No killer bug? That thing kills everywhere I've used it. I use a size 16 caddis hook and copper wire instead of thread. I've used old rag wool gloves for the wool body and they slay.
Edited to add in the AZ Mini Hopper. I use it almost everywhere and it does great as well.

Not much difference between a killer bug and a basic caddis pattern

@@spiltmilt Materials make the difference, IMHO. Using wool yarn in a basic caddis helps it to sink much faster. Also, with a more simplistic pattern, I feel that the fish see what they want with it instead of something you are trying to portray. A killer bug could be a caddis larvae, but it could also be a small cranefly larvae, or a scud, or a terrestrial whose wings got shredded.
