Kline Academy is an atelier experience... when you walk through our doors you will see easels spattered in colorful bits of paint, works of art from classical master copies, fine French Academy style drawings to contemporary abstracts. Large plaster casts of Roman busts for drawing fill the back studio, sky lights stream light down on a model stand draped in colorful fabric and the sweet smell of oil paint is in the air.
I started Kline Academy in 2007 to give anyone who seeks a better art education an opportunity to learn these historic painting techniques brush stroke by brush stroke, the way I learned to paint from the master artists I was fortunate to study under. I understand an artist's frustration at having a great idea but not being able to execute it with polish and panache. My motto is that "your frustration ends at our front door." Our students come from a diverse background of careers, all ages and all skill levels from absolute beginner to skilled artists. The only requirement we have is the desire and the passion to make art. And I ensure that all will learn and grow because the teachers on our staff are people who I myself would want to study with, exceptional artists who are skilled at teaching and nurturing to their students.
It is because of my vision to create a respectable art academy that is founded on classical foundations in art, a linage that has been passed down from master to student since the renaissance, that we have thrived. We are a place where people of any age and background can learn fundamentals of art making from classical realism to contemporary painting.
I love the way this guy paints . Max is not from this planet. The way he sees things is amazing and his process displays that.
I know lol iv never seen anyone paint like he does his technique and how he sets up ahead of himself.he playing chess lol I can't for the life of me paint in this fashion

I know people mean well & some r even leaving compliments....but, if u r not familiar with this mans art by name, look him up in general. He is a master. Incredible art as one of the best painters in the world.
When I was struggling( well I always been struggling) and learning and just out of A&D Max passed me my first few jobs and I appreciate that, it really helped and taught me a lot. The amazing thing is the morning painting group was free to any of the students at A&D but only a few went so far as to get in there at 6 am to paint with Max and Irwin.

A perfect demonstration on how face bone structure determines the shape of the face.Was truly magical to see you start from nothing and see you use the paint to sculp the form into such a realistic representation of the person.Thanks for sharing you process, loved every second of it.

Nice to follow the stages of painting from seemingly meaningless gestures following the form of the face to the finished painting which if not overly refined is beautifully luminous and full of life.

I decided to start digital painting in 2020 using corel painter and learned by watching oil, watercolor and acrylic painting videos on YT. I saw how many people solved their paintings on their. My solution and style came out to be similar to this one actually. I love it being in the raw state to make the necessary changes for likeness before committing and putting in the details. I got pretty decent pretty fast but I am still wasting brushstrokes/time because I am not confident in them.
