The Bluey animators are definitely gamers. Bluey and Bingo also have a blue hedgehog toy and a stuffed dog toy in a blue jacket that looks like Sans.
I remember finding out that Daniel Sun (the creator of Power Star, a flash movie series where Mario gets possessed and destroys the Mushroom Kingdom) is an animator for Bluey. Mind was blown that day. Still can't believe you're on Bluey lmao

There's also a plushie "Sans" shown in a few episodes, I think it appears specifically in the episode where Muffin is sleep deprived but they wanna keep playing

Big wholesome that Vinny's getting around to the extent of being referenced in a kids show. Someone on Bluey's art team has good taste, especially since I'm pretty sure there was a Sans dog plush in one episode. I don't personally watch the show (I rarely watch TV shows period, with the recent exception of Fallout), but I've seen screencaps of Sans dog plush milling around on certain rampancy-addled subreddits.

Given the total number of reported active streamers is 7.94 million, I would hazard to say he's pretty high up the list. He absolutely has become pop culture.

No one is going to see this comment (unless John pins in) but the artist who did the Vinesauce stuff was Faysaysnay. She's no longer on the crew but was a background artist, slipped in A Vineshroom early on, and did the dog designs for Vinny and Joel.

Vinny underestimates the impact that Vinesauce as a whole has had on the world (Not just the interntet, THE WORLD), I've personally referenced him thousans upon thousands of times in my life, I've heard people who have not watched a single Vinesauce video utter a "SPEEN", mimic Meat's yeow, do a "mario and luigi" styled skit, and it's not just Vinny! I've seen hundreds of thousands of people, reference 7 grand dad, twister zone, balls over, wheelchair mario, vargfren, and the likes. I mean obviously it's not like they changed everything about how we view comedy, but Vinesauce has had a tremendous impact on pop culture, it really isn't that surprising to see him featured in such a prominent show.
That being said, this is pretty cool, neat little reference. Never watched this and probably never will, but still, always good when Vinesauce is referenced.

If we think about it, cartoons have always referenced pop culture and the famous people of their time - or whoever the animators watched, even if they were obscure. I mean, almost the entirety of Animaniacs is built on such things, right? This is just the next generation of animators carrying on the same tradition in their own subtle ways!
Now that both Vinny and Joel have acknowledged it, the animator behind the cameos is going to start throwing in more and more of their cursed bits just to see what they can get away with.

i don't know anything about bluey but the fact that it contains many yet subtle (or sometimes maybe not-so-subtle) references to media that internet users and memers would understand combined with the fact that it's also enjoyable for adults is honestly cool, especially since it sounds pretty unique in the sea of kid-pandering cartoons

In the frame from the scene featured at 0:35 there's an Undertale reference; the plush toy to the left is wearing black shorts, a blue puff hoodie, has pink slippers and has a large comical cartoon grin. There's also a Homestuck reference in the same episode. There's a LOT of obscure references in Bluey. The writers and animators have full permission to do stuff like this too. The show is lowkey an example of why everyone on a team should have equal free right to contribute however they see fit because it produces a better show; especially for the people that work on the show.
