Together in this video we'll go over how to make bruschetta and crostini toppings. Bruschetta and crostini are such versatile, quick and tasty bases that can take a range of delicious toppings. You can use both sweet and savoury toppings. In this video we'll cover 3 different toppings, and talk about ways to build them up, thinking about height, texture and colour. We'll also go over some presentation tips.

= Bruschetta and Crostini =
- 1 baguette - french stick
- Olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- Salt
Bake at 180 degrees Celcius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 10-12minutes until lightly browned
= Beef, Brie and Apricot Chutney Bruschetta =
- Beef rump steak
- Hummus
- Apricot chutney
- Brie cheese
- Chives to garnish
= Avocado, Tomato and Feta Crostini =
- Avocado
- Lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
- Cherry tomatoes
- Feta cheese to garnish
= Strawberry, Cream Cheese, Balsamic and Mint Crostini =
- Cream cheese
- Strawberries, diced
- Balsamic glaze
- Mint to garnish

How long do the bruschetta and crostini’s stay crispy?
Thanks. They should stay crispy for a few hours...at least 3 if you haven't got anything too wet on them.

You could, but they will be better done on the day ☺️

The bruschetta will last for weeks in an airtight container. With toppings on, they'll last a few hours ☺️

Larrs Womb... Yes, in fact you are right. The pronunciation in very wrong. In Italy they wouldn't understand the hell she is saying !!!

Bruschetta.. the pronunciation is about "Broosketta".
Bruschetta not Bruscetta. The right pronunciation is about "Brooskketta" 😉

The joy of Italian (which i speak) is that once you know the rules of pronunciation THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. The reason it’s “broosketta” is because of the h after the c. That combination is always pronounced like the letter k. The Italian alphabet only has 22 letters; sounds that we have in English from 1 letter are duplicated in Italian with 2 or even 3 letter combinations.
