Here's some Mississippi and Elvis trivia for you. Years ago I lived in Tupelo, MS and took the school bus five days a week to Tupelo High School. The bus passed Elvis' home, a little white house on the back road. Elvis was still alive at the time but not as popular as he once was. If you wanted to see inside the house, which was always locked, you had to walk down the street to a little old lady who had the key, and she'd let you in.
Additionally, Elvis performed at the Lyric Theatre (the movie house) in Tupelo when he was young. The Lyric was also one of the first theatres in the US to show THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW as a midnight movie, back in 1975 (might have been '76), and I first saw RHPS at one of those midnight showings.

The first question: has two choices with river
    It's a Southern Thing: *lAnD*
    Ah yes, perfect logic
Fun fact: The Ojibwe, where the name of the state came from, aren't even from Mississippi! They're from the Midwest and Canada, where they are the second largest of the First Nations. Michigan is also a state name of Ojibwe origin. It is the gallicized (French) variant of the Ojibwe word mishigama, which means "large lake"
