RIP Choock I hope you didn't suffer. The first song that comes to mind is The Solitaires "The Angels Sang". Not sure it is appropriate but it was first. God bless.

To the Kasper family: I clicked on every one of Charles' 6,000+ posts over the past year. I loved it when he responded to any Comments that I made. He said that he was looking forward to hearing my pending list on PJ's Story Untold Show. Now, that is not possible with the loss of someone with whom I shared a love of this music. PJ paid tribute to him by dedicating all three hours of his show to featuring songs that Charles had sent to him - a great way to thank Charles! How do I thank him?

I confess, I was very confused why Charles has not posted for so long. I read the messages and I’m in shock. Charles provided me with so much inspiration. Hell, we made a movie that took place in the 50’s with songs that Charles introduced to me. Rest In Peace.

Merry rockin' Christmas, Charles, and thanks for posting this fab collection on Rhino vinyl! The only track I've heard before is Oscar McLollie and his Honey Jumpers' "Dig That Crazy Santa Claus." The Penguins recorded "Jingle Jangle" after they moved to Mercury along with the Platters in 1955 (thanks to Buck Ram, the manager of both groups). "Just A Lonely Christmas" was the Moonglows' third single (the second on Chance) released in December 1953, prior to their many charting hits. As a Christmas present to my fellow listeners, I am including links to web pages for each of the groups featured here:

Well man Xmas songs have only a short exposure and are a novelty. Probably recorded in March. Who remembers the Stones offering, the Beatles and John Lennon. There have been a few good ones. Michael Bubble and also Warner Bros multi decade compilation. Jingle Jangle is great with a rhumba beat. Johnny Preston, Chuck Berry did some great ones, but don’t think Little Richard tried, except for his many Gospel albums.
