You did an excellent job! To the point, didn't try to be a comedian, well spoken and educated. your instructions and precautions were very helpful.

If you get the gallon of CLR use the antifreeze suction part next to your pump and suck it in like you're going to suck antifreeze in to your system running only the hot to get it in the water heater let it sit for 20 minutes and then flushed you that once a year if you have that much lime and it'll keep a maintenance on it

The issue that I see with that is the CLR will be pumped into the fresh water tank before it can then be pumped into the water heater tank.

@@timhei7584 yeah after I do the CLR treatment and I let that sit for a full day cuz of Tanks got a lot of buildup in at 2 and make sure the tanks were full when you do it so they get their full to the top and all the services are covered and then I flush system out that they can and then I flush it one more time with a whole container of Dawn dish soap and again at that's it for 3 or 4 hours kind of dissolve everything and then that'll get rid of the fat you got too many fats in there and too much bioproduct in your toilet use the Zep purple but only leave it in there for a couple hours it'll dissolve everything and then you got to rinse like crazy that when I don't recommend unless you've really got a mountain the poo in the toilet you can't get rid of it

From your experience, does the element gets corroded during winter months?

We are full time RVesr and have been in very cold weather and very hot weather. The controlling factor I have discovered is the water hardness. The harder the water the more buildup on the heating elements. Thank you for your question, JIm

I noticed that you have a shark bite check valve on your hot water line. Do you also have one on the cold water line?
Mine has to be serviced from under my coach and it is incredibly difficult to access or frankly even see any details.
Can you tell me which way your arrows are pointing on the check valve(s).

Please God spread the word…it’s called a water heater. Hot water does NOT need to be heated!

Yes, CLR is a great way to clean off the lime scale build up, Thank you, Jim

Excellent! I strongly suspect my element is scaled over (yuc)! I have the CLR, but not a new element! Tx guys!

Remove the element and give it a good soaking with CLR or LSR . It should clean up well.

What if I did all that and still no hot water? All fuses are good can it be the board?

    • @timhei7584

@@paulabehrend2532 check the ohm resistance of the element. If it was operated with an air pocket in the tank (like mine was) then it probably burned out.

PLEASE! It's a WATER HEATER!!! You don't need to heat HOT water.
