Thank you so so much for making these videos and series. I am fairly sure that this might be the right thing for me, think that I will have a lot of the necessary criteria, and fewer any of the main hurdles and drawback but I have so many gaps in knowledge between my questions and unknowns, that you are helping me with. I really can’t express how valuable this is to me right now.

It only works if you have a legal sleeper birth. I will caution you...You will not make 2 times the money because of loading and unloading hour restrictions.

Do I need an mc number and DOT number if I lease on to a hotshot company...???
    I have a 2007 E-450 v10
Yes this gas powered truck can keep up with a diesel powered truck.... I'm a retired ASE certified mechanic so I can perform maintenance and fix most of the issues that may occur while out on the road...
I've driven box trucks and a van for over 20 yrs on and off but I was always running under 26,000 lbs..
This is my first time driving a cab and chassis with a gooseneck nation wide..
I've driven a 40' gooseneck trailer for a moving company so I do have the experience driving a gooseneck...!!!

Leasing on will not require an MC or DOT number. You will need commercial insurance for your vehicle(Bobtail/Non Trucking liability) that does not cover freight damage. The company that holds the DOT number will provide that, usually for a fee. You will need a clean Class A CDL.

@@StraightLineDelivery thank you for the information..
I hope your channel grows because you give useful information...
I'm going to start as non CDL hotshot first and get my CDL as I get into the groove of things... I think after the first year is when I will get my CDL and purchase a 40' trailer...
But to start I think non CDL will be a good start
