2022 income & expenditure report |

I'm back! It's been a long time off but it was very much needed. As I explain in the video, there are too many priorities and with shifting time available it just became impossible to keep up with. This week's video contains what will probably be an embarrassing run down of my income and spending for 2022! I'm always happy to be as open and honest as I can, showcasing what it's really like for indie authors trying to establish a career in the publishing world. Thank you for sharing this information. I think people have an unrealistic view of what authors actually make and what the actual costs are associated with being an author. I know for me here in the US my costs are insane and what I currently make doesn't cover even half of my annual costs. It can be disappointing, but I love writing so what can you do. :)

Thank you for posting this. Love your openness. Really enjoyed the first two books in your soul bound series. Just wondering why you decided to purchase our own ISBNs instead of using the KU ones?

Thank you! I'll be doing a video on this soon but one of the big reasons was wanting to sell my paperbacks wide so I wanted all the data under 1 ISBN, plus, being UK, meant I couldn't get some of the free ones given by the place I wanted to sell from. I'm pretty sure when I last looked I couldn't get free ones at Barnes and noble or ingram spark for example. Just one of the many reasons!
