I think I prefer the PS2 sounds. I don't think they ported the nfs sounds well in this game. But they did wonders in Paradise.
Same here, I think few of them having engine sounds that doesn't even match with their looks especially the Modified R ones, if I'm not mistaken, it has a "V12" badge on its right side of the back end, and yet it has a 4 cylinder engine sound.
Not that just that too. A lot of the cars sound like they're revving way too low as well. It doesn't help that some don't sound as raw as the versions that appeared on the PS2 release. Almost as if it was recorded inside the car instead of it being outside. It also did away with some of the audio that added to the audio flare of the cars, like the sequential gear shifts, blow-off valve sounds, and the faint yet present sound of straight cut gears.
@@DatOneCat exactly, especially that most DX cars have subtle transmission wines as they get up to speed, and all GT cars have gear shift sounds, I don't know why essentially all of these traits are lost in the 360 version.

Are the engine sounds overused? Yes, yes they are. But does that mean they're bad? Not at all. The idle noise, the scream of the V10, and the rumble of the cross-plane V8 are top notch. The sort of game that justifies the use of an expensive sound setup, not just for the engine sounds, but also for the glorious explosions and smashed metal at a crash.
360 version use Blackbox NFS sounds.

They are Nfs sounds some of them unused in the games
both Revenge and Paradise use Blackbox NFS sounds, from Carbon to be specific.

I think this is the most by far my fav Burnout Revenge 360, but unfortunately i havent tried it in Emulator...

the Prototype R175ST has a very different sound here. Like a Lexus LFA (which carries a 4.8L V10 NA.)
Oddly enough, in the PS2 Version it sounds like a Inline-6 Engine lol.
I think it's either the Porsche Carrera GT or the Lambo Gallardo engine sound from NFS Most Wanted

For most cars, I think the 360 version sounds worse compared to PS2 version, but for the Prototype R series, I think both versions sounds equally great, from my opinion of course.

this was the sole reason why i disliked the 360 version, apart from the piss filter and the motion blur, this game IS good indeed, but many cars that once had good engine sounds, were turned to some random and overused V8 SFX, for instance, the Limited, the Criterion, Works M-Type all had different engine sounds, a turbocharged Straight Six, another Straight Six and a V12, respectively, in this exact version, they all had their engines replaced for some generic V8.
also, where are the overly-dramatic up-shifts, every upshift in the PS2 version sounded like you were going to yank out the whole gearbox, in this it's.... it's all gone.
Most of V8 sounds comes from Ford Mustang GT/Ford GT, Corvette C6, BMW M3 GTR and MW BETA BMW M3 GTR

he plays on Xenia emulator.
There was a glitch where u go into split-Screen crash mode then go to the career mode or whatever u call it
Select an event then u can use the crash cars
@@Doomguy879okay that's actually cool, it always annoyed me that we couldn't use these normally, or at least in special events, maybe just crashbreaker races and such

The boost sounds like, downgraded, compared to the PS2 and beta versions of the game. Not very punchy at all.

yeah ps2 sounds are better, for some cars in this (idk if its the recording of the video) but I can hear sounds cutting out and making some fuzzy noises.
