Youre correct, we should be careful with people when we are talking about salvation. We shouldn't make it hard for someone to understand the simplicity of the gospel, which is wonderfully said in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Salvation is not hard, but we as individuals love to make it hard. Which seems rather odd considering we live in a world where everyone wants everything the easy way... salvation is simply accepting Gods free gift to you, which is the gracious act of Jesus Christ bleeding and dying on the cross for our sins. The moment we do that, we are justified and Christs righteousness is placed on our account. And no, you can't lose your salvation either.

Regarding the guy who had the question about pictures and other depictions of Jesus in his church, I also don't think it necessarily violates the 2nd commandment to have those things. Because, as was pointed out, Jesus was/is fully God AND fully human. People in His day knew what He looked like as a Man. Therefore, IMO, it is not sinful to depict Jesus in pictures or other forms of artwork. As long as its done respectfully & reverently, and the depictions themselves aren't turned into objects of idolatry.
The great crowd of witnesses has to do with the divine council I would think .

I am Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6. In Deuteronomy, it states nobody was castrated back then. But, that is what God wanted people to think so they wouldnt take it out of the Bible.
